Apparently the paint fades after a few years which would drive me nutsAnyone got a West Dubs roof fitted? Are they any good or should they be avoided?
What's a few? My Westdubs is 3 years old now and absolutely no signs of fading.Apparently the paint fades after a few years which would drive me nuts
I contacted Vanmax, as this is the nicest looking LWB pop top i have seen, but sadly they have dropped the LWB and only offer a SWB now....I had a vanmax fitted in Sept. Myself and Tuffers were in conversation about our choices as I had been to vanmax hq and also to Halifax Camper Conversions.
I’d looked at other brands too and was more impressed with the vanmax. It’s pull tested also.
I love mine. Used it over Xmas a few times and it functioned great. There is zero wind noise-even if you take it up to 100 (which was the first thing I did when I collected it as a test) and I’ve had zero creaks or leaks-and it sits outside in the Yorkshire weather which has been apocalyptic recently.
But best of all it looks brilliant in my opinion.View attachment 101029View attachment 101030View attachment 101031

I’ve just had a Storm pop top fitted by Cosmic Campers in Derby and I’m really pleased with it.
John.
Mate I've just been to see Luke at (goose roofs) down in East Sussex and he’s just about to release a new roof to market that will blow the rest out the water amazing construction very high endI wouldn’t mind hearing people's preferred choice of Roofs and Beds.
I will probably be going for mine after Christmas so gonna start doing some research.
I have been advised SCA is one of the best and we'll built. I like the look of HiLo roofs but don't like the way they head clearance is compromised inside the van.
Opinions and suggestions please.
Is that the only pic you have? Do you have a link to his website please?Mate I've just been to see Luke at (goose roofs) down in East Sussex and he’s just about to release a new roof to market that will blow the rest out the water amazing construction very high end

So when you say panoramic roof, is that large centre area in the actual pop top going to be a panoramic panel?Hi mate he’s not even out there yet I heard through the dub world and got a number for him went along and honestly mate blown away by the workmanship 4 weeks and mine will be in this lad is a technical engineer that worked on red bull Rallycross cars,,went in his workshop and to make the parts for his roofs he’s designed and made his own bespoke 3 meter CNC machine
Have to say that sounds awesome. I assume that there’s some internal screen to stop you waking up at 5am with a face full of sunlight.
Fitted black out blind and on gas rams he said electric would be an option later down the lineHave to say that sounds awesome. I assume that there’s some internal screen to stop you waking up at 5am with a face full of sunlight.
Can’t wait to see one fitted.
Is it electric to raise/lower?
