Which poptop mattress?

I have a 50mm memory foam mattress with removable washable cover .. Obtained from eBay smallest size small double width and cut down to suit pop top bed … easily lives up in roof if needed ( I use it on the r and r bed as it’s more comfatable ) and leave folded behind the bed normally.

Thank you for that as I really want something like a memory foam one that I can leave upstairs as Mrs sleeps downstairs and me on top due to my ZZZ’s

We’ve got 2 of these. One for pop top and one for rock n roll bed. Squeeze the air out and they both sit in the pop top roof space. Very comfy
Thanks @Mike23864 for the suggestion
I've just bought two of these too although went for the Outdoor Revolution Camp Star Rock 'N' Roll King 100 Self Inflating Mat (VW Camper). Slightly more expensive but in the current sale and 5% off for first order took the price down to £85 each and free P&P. Fingers crossed they're good ha ha

Hi All,

Recently bought a Vw T6 with a pop top, looking for a recommendation for a mattress for the pop top, occasionally will have an adult sleeping however majority of the time will be a child. Something comfortable, warm and cost effective. Due to not have an adult sleeping in the area all of the time don’t want to spend anything over £100.

Hi all, I just bought my first Camper and I was wondering if anyone can help with recommendations for the best pop top mattress? I suffer with bad back and neck so need the thickest I can go to be able to close it. Please help

Welcome. Give the search function a try as this has been covered many, many times before.

What type of bedboard does your pop-top have? If it's a simple, rigid board (without a slatted base or a Froli Spring-type system) then, IMO, you'd be better off buying a mattress/topper that fits your RIB/RnR bed and sleeping "downstairs".

We recently went OTT with the mattress for our RnR bed, and we bought a 15cm deep, top-of-the-range memory-foam one. It's huge (even when folded up), so, when touring, daytime storage will be challenging, but we really don't care - it is sooo comfortable.

I fitted some of the Froli springs in my poptop (about 44mm high) from Berger Camping and have my Reimo mattress (3cm thick foam) on top of this. Also good with the Vango 5cm air mattress. Comfortable and doesn't aggrevate my bad back at all. But not enough room to store both the Reimo mattress and the springs when the poptop is down, The Vango fits when deflated in the poptop though(and stops the springs from rattling when going over bumps as well).
