We don’t do pop tops, and won’t be, There are many very good camper conversion about to choose from, and we are just too busy with what we already do.

Without teaching you to suck eggs, look at their completed conversion, speak to existing customers, look at online reviews and ask to see conversions being currently carried out. What’s behind the panels is as important as what can be seen. We give customers a complete photo library when doing an interior work.

My advise would be to find someone within a couple of hours Max of yourself. With a full camper conversion there will be extras you will want to add after and maybe some snagging issues, so try to keep it local.

We’ve got Ian @Eclipse Campers on here who will do a very good job for you.

Knights Custom Conversions in Spalding Lincs did an excellent job of my interior and Retrofitted in Bury St.Edmunds made an equally excellent job of the roof, both highly recommended.
Why did you get the roof done elsewhere ... and not at Knights ? Which roof did you go for ?

I went for a Skyline roof and wanted a real timber effect on the underside which I don't think Knights do unfortunately, they do Reimo.

Many thanks. Im also looking at the Skyline Aurora. Was thinking of using their WSM base. Perhaps a stupid question, but do their fitters offer difference options, I had assumed it's the same product everywhere? Quality of fitters will vary also.

Mine is the Aurora. Sorry, should of said on the underside of the bi-fold bed. Some of their recommended fitters make up their own bed designs.

After 10 years I finally sold my 21 window Samba last year and last week took possession of my T6. The bespoke conversion by Sols Campers on the Wirral has worked out brilliantly for us. I spent months searching and visiting different firms DC looked good too but Lee and Paul at Sols have been brilliant and accommodated/built/modified every single thing we wanted - and they helped us source the van to start with - can't recommend them highly enough

I've not used them but I have heard good things about Dirty Weekend in Worcester.

I cannot see anyone mentioning The Dub Hut in Ashford - my T6 was converted there, and I have been back to have additional bits added (as we all do), and I asked them to look at a couple of snagging issues - which they did for free. Top team, and the conversion is top quality - they use West Dub poptops, Northern Rose kitchen, decent alloys, decent diesel heater, and the rock'n'roll bed is top draw too.

Just contact Maria in the office, and I am sure she will be able to help.

There is nothing like word of mouth and people telling you who is good, the people on this forum know these vans and I don’t doubt they can point me in the right direction.
I don’t care where the company is as long as it’s uk based, im of the opinion of a job is worth doing it’s worth doing properly - once

I find as a funeral director I don’t even need to advertise now as I take the same approach in my own trade - so I’m looking for someone really good to pamper my van and turn it into something really nice that I can spec and use to make some memories with my family
I have had the windows booked in and full conversion being done in two weeks but if you're looking in the oxfordshire area then take a look at jsb campers. His work is exceptional and prices are amazing. Very helpful guy, will design to your specs.

Hi there I wonder if anyone can help. I am new to looking at VW campers and there seems to be a wide variety in spec and quality. I am looking for a quality conversion as this will possibly be a business and will be looking to rent it, with it being a rental and some people not being gentle I don’t want a cheap conversion that things break or stop working easily. I am based in Glasgow Scotland. Could anyone point me in the right direction of companies that have a good reputation and use quality products for fit outs. I really like the look of the conversions van giant do in Carlisle but not sure as I have seen a couple of bad reviews. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Caledonian Campers are close. They rather uniquely stand behind their builds with a 5 year warranty. That’s probably worth looking into. I don’t know how much small print there is.

Also if you do a search on the website above (comparethecampervan.com) you’ll find all of the companies close to you if you enter your postcode. For what you’re proposing it would make sense to go with a local company so they can do any repairs if the worst happens.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Morning,

I have a client who wants to purchase a new or nearly new already converted campervan.

He’s the kind of guy who only has the best, so money no object who makes the best vans?

Also, he is ideally wanting a van that’s in stock.

Many thanks
