Yeah i have no DPF issues and have no intention of making changes there, only reason sending me to blank and map the EGR is that the garage i spoke to told me that it may be a better option that exchanging the EGR given how expensive and labor intensive it is..........

EGR delete and remap at 29,654 miles in August 2021. Van now on 38,900 miles, no issues, passed 3 MOT's since. Did it because it cost £250 and a new EGR would have been over a £1000 and would have needed replacing again eventually. Also not happy about all the soot and sh1t being pumped back...

Got the same with my 20 plt. Vw said poss egr or software. Egr company said it was fine but sensor was reading 70mm when should be 30mm. Was intermittent, now constant. Do want to update as have a remap on it

chopped it up to see inside. it was clogged solid with carbon and gooey stuff. no chance a flush was going to help. - a new unit will always be needed when it gets that bad. it ended up in the bin.
