    T6.1 Black Box on battery?

Well it is until you see the price of the customer replacement plate fuse... Overall it's much easier to add to that fusebox than the one underneath the battery, but I think I'd treat it much more as a distribution point and fuse things as if they were not fused so just treating the plate fuse...

Fusebox Extension Kit Set For Tow Bar Electrics 000055212A instructions

Perfect this has been a great help and exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much! I can see now that the additional supplied fuse carrier; they connect directly to the +ve of the battery and not SA3 as I thought. Obviously there are many equally valid ways to do it, but sticking to this...

D-pillar cable routes. Anyone currently have a bare internal van?

Glad you got it sorted. The only way to put videos on the forum is to put them on you tube (other platforms are available) and then paste a link.

D-pillar cable routes. Anyone currently have a bare internal van?

Sorted it! Thanks to @Absolut5 and @Dellmassive for giving me the confirmation of a viable route, to explore with confidence. Just for others who might be looking to do this - it’s only this tricky if you don’t have removable panels. My converters have cut corners in a few areas and this was...

Fusebox Extension Kit Set For Tow Bar Electrics 000055212A instructions

I did my install slightly different to the book, as we plan to fit a leisure battery at some point. I brought a fused thick battery cable through behind the battery to under the drivers seat and fitted a threaded connection post. This is where we plan to fit the leisure battery. I then shortened...

D-pillar cable routes. Anyone currently have a bare internal van?

Ah brilliant that’s good to know that’s definitely a route. I tried through that grommet yesterday but got a bit snagged up so assumed it was a dead end. So I’ll persevere. And then presumably once I have a line up to that hole accessed from the grommet from the light cluster, push through...

D-pillar cable routes. Anyone currently have a bare internal van?

If you pop out the top grommet where the tailgate version cables go through you can drop a flexible rod or cable down to the bottom cable entry .

    Team Air

Yes it was a driveway install. It was a challenge in as much as I had no experience installing Air only an idea on what needed done. Unknowns for me were mounting points for the tank (Which I had to make brackets and bolt to the sub frame behind the spare) and routing of hoses and cables to keep...

D-pillar cable routes. Anyone currently have a bare internal van?

From your 1st paragraph below - I couldn’t quite understand how you used the tailgate rubber bung hole to get access to the wire you were feeding. “The new camera loom run through the existing door loop into the D-Pillar void and up to the top corner above the roof panel . . . i used the larger...

D-pillar cable routes. Anyone currently have a bare internal van?

...clip as a bonus! I have a fully converted and carpeted van (one piece, so no easily removable ply panels) and I’m trying to investigate cable routes for a rear camera. I’ve searched and read most d/pillar references in the forum on cameras and I’m happy it can be done. Threads on barn door...

Ceiling lights to switch panel wiring route

Hi all, Recently purchased a part converted van and now getting to work on it myself. Poptop roof already done as is the insulation and carpeting. Currently sorting cable for electrics with plan for battery under drivers seat. Want to have a switch panel on the rear panel on drivers side but...

Fusebox Extension Kit Set For Tow Bar Electrics 000055212A instructions

Is that the one under the battery, will the big black fuse holder with ring crimp that comes with the kit clip in there? I'm also hoping someone has the VW instructions that normally comes with the kit, and hoping it shows the path for routing the cable. I've found a Westfalia one but it is very...

Fusebox Extension Kit Set For Tow Bar Electrics 000055212A instructions

Yes I already have that carrier under the seat you mention and bought the new red fuse holder strip (SH1-12) to go in there, (see photo). There is a long cable attached to the new red fuse holder strip (SH1-12) and it's that cable that I'd like to know the correct routing for, and the correct...

**UPDATE* I now have the instructions, kindly supplied by Paynewright and are visible below. Has anyone got the instructions for fitting the tow bar electrics fuse panel, 000055212A, that fits under the passenger seat. I have the genuine kit but it didn't come with instructions. Specifically...

Best route for rear camera cable in fully converted van ?

Yeah @Dellmassive explanation seems the best match. But I couldn’t quite decipher if it’s really possible to pull rod up from the rear light loom grommet, up to the top corner and somehow into the void that the poptop sits on and runs all the way to the B and A pillar. Surely there’s all kinds...

Best route for rear camera cable in fully converted van ?

Ok thanks. I’m looking at the Autovox v5 rear view mirror dash cam setup as it would solve several issues. But routing to the rear NS barn door feels impossible! I think I can get into the void above the sliding door but not sure if that void extends down to the rear lighting cluster or not - I...
