The premium price of the current VW offering certainly doesn’t come from the DMF, the suspension components or the ad-blue system!
Maybe we’ll see better value and a focus on customer service now the competition is closer?
...especially as I have a tiny coolant leak out of the egr cooler gasket.
I also have plenty of recurring fault codes in VCDS related to egr and adblue and nox sensor. No EML though.
Anyway, after a couple of hours down at Dav-Tec I no longer have any egr worries.
The service from Chris has...
I would put 5l in now to save
I would put 5l in now to save filling over there but I have filled up with light of and on. As long as you run through reset on starting again I don’t think it makes any difference.
I always said that if my adblue became troublesome I’d map it out. I wouldn’t let something so flakey, that even the manufacturer can’t fix, ruin my ability to use the van with confidence. No issues so far.
Same with egr, and that went as soon as it started to be an issue.
Thank you for the photo's.
We share the same ravenna blue.
I don't want to carpet my van. I have sound deadened it, insulated it. I am thinking of adding wheel arch covers to protect the arches of course but to hide the sound deadening under neath when I get round to it.
I intend to have the...
...home it would go into limp mode and flash up a warning light.
However strangely enough it drove home with no problems at all, even had the adblue showing 6.5k miles.
Driven a few miles this afternoon a bit more spirited and still no problems.
Im going to keep an eye on this as it did the...
21 reg T6.1 adblue notification on for the the last 3 days . Added 5 litres yesterday and did the reset turning on for 30 plus secs but nothing even after a 10 mile drive.
Going to the stealers to sort but working that the quantity notification wrong considering only a 13 litre tank ??
Will...
It's crazy to think we need to do this to prevent all the problems happening.
AdBlue and Egr are mapped out on mine, but it's not blanked out. Some say it's needed, others say not needed with this engine/Valves.?
Anyone offer any information on this, thanks.
I assume that low mileage from a main dealer is top dollar$ price.
Is it too late to demand an oil consumption test, milllers oil analysis and cylinder compression test done by them prior to handing over the money??
Tell them if tests prove acceptable then you can conclude purchase, and you get...
Just had my 2018 T6 Highline serviced at the local VW dealer, previous owner must have had trays fitted all round but the AdBlue one is sagging, dealer wanted £170 to replace, claimed it's not covered in the warranty. So, looking for any recommendations Genuine or non Factory.
No, I have all the same adblue faults as separate faults, unresolved and VW won't/can't help without paying ££££ just to investigate. The inlet manifold fault displayed on the dash as a flashing coil light and limp mode.
The adblue isnt taken out, just unhook the filler cap end behind the flap and then drop the main fuel tank. When you remove the fuel sender unit, just allow the diesel to run off back in the tank.
We've got 2 TSI's both re-mapped to 300bhp and never had a problem with either - both at around 60k miles. No adblue, dpf, egr or timing belt to worry about either.
Hi MMI
I take one day holiday from work to look at ad-blue saga again. I decided to take van for short trip to activate the SCR unit, to be able to see what is happened after SCR unit switch on and to record values from post 'Adblue /software version'. I was more 'confused .com' all values...
