I think with a bit of brute force it may be possible to remove it without unlocking it.
I foolishly bought the medium size without doing any research into the size of the T6 steering wheel, but as I also have a Ghost Immobiliser fitted the Disklok is there more as a visible deterrent than anything.
Ha ha mate.........no, I should have been clearer! Dead easy to use......mine is silver too. What I should've said is it is bulky and I don't like having it loose in my van......but that's just me. If I have any doubts about parking it, you bet your boots I use it. I'm just funny about having a...
...is ...if you live in a high crime area ..or it’s parked for long periods out of your sight then any additional security is required ..disklok and other types will slow a theft down ...but a tracker will help to recover vehicle but what state you get it back in is anyones guess.. it’s all...
...favour to ask. Can someone please just measure the width/diameter of their steering wheel of their highline model T6.1. Trying to source a Disklok for my upcoming van, so I need dimensions to match for one. Some members suggest small and some medium. Many thanks in advance. Can't wait for our...
Hi
I've just acquired my first VW campervan and I'm also looking to do just this. My van has the basic vw factory immobiliser which I'm led to believe is a waste of time. So I agree that a visual deterrent and something to stop them moving it (other than a tow truck) seems the best option...
Our T6 is stored at a very secure caravan/van storage yard, or it’s on our drive. In both cases it has a pedal lock, Disklok and wheel clamp attached. The cost of all 3 is about £450, which is trivial in the scale of things.
When out and about we leave the wheel clamp behind.

...to go into the garage for servicing/MOT. Apparently you can put it into service mode, but if the van goes above a certain speed (can’t remember the exact speed but fairly low) it re-activates.
If you want a quick and easy fix for your security I’d recommend a Disklok, you’ll need the small size.
Yes. I bought the little fabric wheel cover they sell on their website just incase. My insurance said I had to have a disklok I used Greenlight and they gave me a discount code £20 off I think
I bought size small
I've gone for a Stoplock for the same reasons as VanDanMan. It's easy to use and not too bulky when not in use. Also it can be switched to other cars/ vans with no worries about the size of the steering wheel. If the T6 is behind locked gates it goes on to the Skoda Citigo.............my wife...
We use a steering wheel DiskLok, and a pedal lock when the vehicle is in a public place. Both take seconds to fit.
When it is at the storage yard or on our drive for any length of time, then we use a wheel clamp which is very visible.
Plenty of other more technical solutions used by owners here...
Maybe speak to an auto locksmith and see what they say?
I would also agree a physical lock such as Disklok (your local Halfords might have one in stock) or ClutchClaw from NK group is a good idea - if you can stand the hassle of fitting them.
I found this article on Car key programming that...
...not be pretty but can stop an easy and quick break in, Armaplate are probably best for these, the bolt thru type not just the stick on type.
Diskloks and pedal locks i believe are also a great deterrent, along with the Ghost sticker that can go in the window when you get one fitted. Anything...
