Hi all, I have been offered a Large Disklok in yellow colour for a really good price (local FB selling site) but it's in Large size. Our T6.1 Highline is still in production/conversion, and I can't measure the diameter. Given the current shortage of the Diskloks it would be shame to miss it.

Having a look at the above size guide it states medium-large for vans. Will the Large size be suitable/way too large for T6.1 steering wheel?

Hi @EdH ...can’t help T6 only....but as a thought...the Disklok look good but very bulky to store for that reason I use Stoplock...still visual but easy to fit and store. And not sized so universal and halve the price ;)

I've gone for a Stoplock for the same reasons as VanDanMan. It's easy to use and not too bulky when not in use. Also it can be switched to other cars/ vans with no worries about the size of the steering wheel. If the T6 is behind locked gates it goes on to the Skoda Citigo.............my wife reckons nobody would want to nick the Citigo......a bit harsh!!!

Yes, a large will be too big.
I’ve got a medium and that is slightly too big.

Ali-G thank you for your reply. I had a feeling that it's way too big. You said that your medium lock is slightly too big, is there a chance that it could be taken off?

I think with a bit of brute force it may be possible to remove it without unlocking it.
I foolishly bought the medium size without doing any research into the size of the T6 steering wheel, but as I also have a Ghost Immobiliser fitted the Disklok is there more as a visible deterrent than anything.

Just to add, I would think that you’d definitely be able to remove a large Disklok from a T6 without unlocking it.

Definitely, I have passed on Large one, so I will not be buying that one. It looks like that small size would be most suitable in this instance.

@Dan Morritz. Is that something they do as a matter of routine if they see new cars / vans in your area?
We live very near to the A46 and the M40, which as you are probably well aware, makes a very lovely market town like ours, desirable to car thieves sadly. Yes, it’s a routine thing here, but it is also part of a monitoring of hospital staff vehicles parking on residential roads etc.

@JOG. I might be wrong here (according Tony wife, I often am!) but I understood the difference between the Pro and Pro Elite is their size/shape which means that the Pro Elite fits more steering wheels. FWIW, I have the Pro and it works well with my 'standard' Highline MFSW. I bought mine last year and one of the reasons why I chose it was that it had just come out on top in an Auto Express test of steering wheel locks - Best steering wheel locks 2020 | Auto Express.

It's the most secure of the visible deterrents without being too big. simple as that really.
Completely agree! I used to have one in the 90’s when alarms were generally aftermarket! (Yes, back in the days when the cool types would rock up to the pub, diligently lock the car with a key, then nonchalantly blip a fob as they sauntered off and were reassured by an alarm broadcasting “System Armed!” like Kitt from Knightrider!!!)
