Is this the normal view inside oil filler cap?

I’ve wrapped double bubble double foil insulation around my filler neck and have no mayonnaise at all but I don’t use my van for short journeys. John.

PPV/Vinyl recommendation for flexible solar install

In regards to the vinyl, most wrap of the decent vinyls are air release now you want wrap vinyl not a standard vinyl. These require no adhesive just release the liner and apply. Clear PPF would require a slip solution to apply and can not be done dry. Doing a small area is not a problem in...

    Bonnet Bra/Bonnet wrap question

...warned about. He wasn’t speaking from experience. It’s not something that will happen overnight either so it’s difficult to tell I guess. My wrap does look truly awful. I’ve been in touch with a local wrap company. I’m on the fence about both options. I do worry that my wrap job is so bad...

    All Things Vinyl

I don't suppose you could source a teal/turqoise vinyl. I'm wanting to wrap the front grill trims I have previously painted, but now flaking. I've seen a product with the code M7-166-122 which seems to be a fairly close match. TIA.

    It's started! T6.1 Day/Camper Project.

Lower half wrap? Inc or not Inc door shuts? If you don't mind me asking, what was the damage to the wallet? I'm still considering a part wrap on my all black van rather than having the entire thing corrected.

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Well my sheet of gloss vinyl wrap arrived on Thursday so I set to work with a hairdryer and craft knife and plenty of heating and stretching to wrap the front VW badge. And hey presto I put this on this morning. This being the gloss black one that I ordered from eBay on Thursday afternoon...

    Shunt/battery control module part-no

To be honest, the more it’s left alone probably the better lol. I did start wrapping all wires in the conduit, but then realised that would make any future inspections or repairs way more difficult, so chose to do similar to factory and just wrap ever now and then, but very spaced out. What I...

FitCamX Dashcam (power from rain sensor)

Cheers. Will have a looksee over the next couple of days to see if this chimp with fat fingers can do it - or might just go for the front one.

    Pop-top gel coat maintenance

I’d ‘happily’ (well not happily) pay someone to do that if it solved problem. Where did you get to do? (Geographically)

    Seat storage in a shed

Wrapping it is likely to make matters worse by stopping it breathing. You would be better to add ventilation to the shed and make sure the seat is clean and dry before storing away uncovered. Mould will form on any dirt whatever you do so cleaning it is key.

Could you get the bluetooth module for the Festool extractor that wraps around the end of the hose & use the battery Makita?

Thanks. I'm leaning that way too. Thanks for replying. I'm not altogether clear on what you mean though sorry

    Hello everyone

Thanks! The van is looking quite frosty there as we were away in the Yorkshire Dales in freezing temperatures. Have now bought an external thermal wrap and an oil radiator!
