...to add a litre every 5k - that thread is worrying.
How do I find the exact engine model ?
EGR has been replaced once and cleaned once.
EGRpipe replaced
DPF has been cleaned twice
Engine mounts replaced
Fuel flow sensors replaced
The only day to day issue is the high oil usage, I did ask...
Had my MOT and inspector said intercooler had oil on it and was hissing from around there. I replaced it yesterday and it felt twice as fast and not down on power. Only problem is that EML came back on with P0106 which is what I had before.
Recent work
New EGR valve and tube pipe
Intercooler...
Had the front EGRpipe split at the flange yesterday on me, managed to do a temp fix to get me home with some magic metal. But on removing today the end was absolutely covered in crap. Is this a normal amount to expect?
Oh and is there an easier way to get to the torx bolt on far side? It was...
Start with the split EGRpipe and go from there.
A common problem and easy fix for your local Indy.
Or diy if you like playing with spanners.
Then note, clear the codes and see what comes back.
Id imagine a EGR flush/replacement may be due if you haven't had it done yet?
I can't imagine the stock VW suspension sending anyone to sleep, detach their retinas and give palpitations maybe?
This sounds more like the corrugated EGRpipe that leaks it's contents into the cab to tell you when it needs replacing, that might make you sleepy.
New pipe fitted this afternoon, nice and easy on the 150 manual, about 10 mins with good access.
Cleared the fault code and hasn't come back. I will consider won't be long before EGR is totally sooted up like my inlet manifold was and explore my options to either blank and map out or replace.
Hi all,
Very new to the forum and Transporter ownership.
Picked up the van on Sunday and on Monday it developed a rough idle which doesn’t go away when warm or after a good drive.
2016 T6 CAAC Bluemotion 140 272k miles. Cambelt and Egr cooler replaced in the last year. Idled perfectly fine on...
...always been a good experience) however recently there was a terrible, diesel smell coming from the engine which turned out to be a split EGRpipe. I'm sure the fumes were giving me headaches every-time I drove it, so I decided to get it fixed asap. On top of that it was due a Cambelt change...
...00A8F9 DTC definition not found, refer to vehicle service manual?
00A0C5 DTC definition not found, refer to vehicle service manual?
T6 new EGRpipe fitted.
P13D600 Glow plug issue?
P046C00 EGR already fixed.
Any wisdom from the Gods on this forum would be greatly appreciated!
In closing...
The one toward the rear, by the rear flexi pipe. I'll take a look in the morning for any broken wires.
The power loss is intermittent, it was only in 4th and 5th gear, now it seems to be in all apart from first. No power with foot on the accelerator and then suddenly it kicks in
Depending which model T6 you have, replacing the rear EGRpipe is either an easy 10 minute job done from above, or an absolute b*****d of a job done from below, blind, taking hours.
If it's not broke, it may break at some point but that's not guaranteed and it may well be an absolute pain to...
Hmmm… only had the van for a week. Loving it. But had an engine management light come on last night grr!
It’s a 66 plate 150 ex RAC van with 124k.
Was driving great, had a couple of motorway runs on Saturday, about 40 miles each. Then down to Taunton and back yesterday, about 40 miles each...
