I’ve just fitted a 3m fiamma 45s I’ve used the correct brackets and it’s solid but my trip away last weekend the rattling did my nut in.
I love the fact that my camper has zero squeaks knocks or rattles and drives really smoothly so I’m looking for ideas on how to stop it rattling.
I think...
My new 6.1 has multiple rattles from the Fiamma, Stealth roof, passenger seat and rear speakers.
In comparison my 6 was like a library.
I’m working through them 1 by 1 as the converter is f***ing useless.
The aluminium end caps (98673H002 & 98673H001 on the diagram below) on my Fiamma F45s are starting to look really tatty, with the paint flaking off and the ali starting to oxidise.
I am happy to paint them rather than replace them. It is only a visual thing, after all. Awning continues to give...
So I bought the Fiamma F40 and used it for the first time the other week and have to say we love it. It feels really solid to me and I only really have minor rattles (well, mine is more of a squeak) at slow speeds on bumpy roads.
We bought the privacy room to go with it as well which also looks...
Collected itfrom having the awnign fitted.
It's the updated version of the Fiamma F40van. Neater end caps, no problems with rattles that the old one could sometimes be prone to, no cassette sagging in the middle like grannie's thruppenies.
Only downside is that its hardly low profile because...
Does anyone else hear a rattle sound when driving from their fiamma f45s awning.... I'm positive mine is rattling. Supports clipped in. Am I right someone put some foam in and it sorted rattles?
Not a peep from either the Dometic or the Fiamma when driving. We use storm straps if it looks like it's going to get windy. We have had a couple of occasions where I decided to wind the awning in but these were very windy days. Hasn't caused any real problems so far though. Just common sense...
Hi @Lotuscamper we have a Fiamma 45s wind out awning on our T6.1 which we wouldn't be without. For the regular forum meets, 2 night stays here and there, it's all we use. For more than a couple of nights we have our drive away air awning, great when we take our 16 year old and the Labrador...
Gotta be honest @JimmyMac74 , we have a 45S that doesn't rattle as long as you wind it all the way back in and make sure the legs are clipped back in to the clips in the housing. Also no odd whistles or wind noise at motorway speeds. Great bit of kit for us. For the 2/3 day forum meets it's all...
Difficult to provide a comparison as we have a Fiamma F45S and have never used the Thule. What I can do is highly recommend the Fiamma, it’s an excellent piece of kit, easy to wind out and return, solid when secured with storm straps. No noise / rattling when on the road. Seems good quality to...
Yeah, after a little more digging that piece you've highlighted stays on the van (rivnut & adhesive), the two other parts stay on the awning. Awning is released with the middle bolts in the diagram.
The part that stays on the van is out of view when awning is detached, which I like the idea of...
I’ve no personal experience of this, but I talked to Colin @8ball campers about their previous design of bracket like this as I’m sure this isn’t as new as the Reimo website says. Happy to be corrected though.
His take.
Not all of the bracket removes or if you do it leaves a rivnut hole in...
I had exactly the same issue - check this thread out - solved mine via carpet lining and velcro strips!

Could anyone with a FIAMMA awning measure the diameter of the winder handle pole for me please?
I'm looking for some clips to attach the winder handle off my Thule awning (which is +/-14mm) but the price of the clips that they sell to store the handles seems a bit excessive .
£7.50 for a pair of...
