Fiamma f40...

I’m really disappointed with my F45s, the rattles are ridiculous, you’d think after years of making these things that they come from the factory with a few strategically placed rubber strips?!

I’m at a point now where I’ve fitted strips, pads and Tessa tape and the rattles have gone, but shouldn’t need to do this.

So guys I took the plunge and brought the f40 awning. These rattles are a joke in all honesty even at slow speed. What I have done though is the two feet that clip in I’ve turned arounf and it’s about 80% better. However when you wind out you run the risk and the legs falling out instantly.

Question is really how are your rattles.

Can't say I've noticed any rattling from mine, not from the driver's seat when driving, anyway. Mine is on the passenger side.

I'm contemplating putting mine in the for sale section as I'm considering changing to a full roof rack which needs the mounting points.

So I bought the Fiamma F40 and used it for the first time the other week and have to say we love it. It feels really solid to me and I only really have minor rattles (well, mine is more of a squeak) at slow speeds on bumpy roads.

We bought the privacy room to go with it as well which also looks and feels really good quality. 10/10 from me for the time being. We're off on a 2-week road trip with it soon which will be the real test so will update again after that.

Hi All, so I have been using a F40 for the last 18 months (used van came with the f40 already installed) and found I after about 12 months I had a lot of rattling, so I've removed the brackets and re-installed. However after a short period it began to rattle again. On inspection, the bolts that I was installing into the roof bar locations front and rear were working their way loose and it was the install rather than the legs inside the cassette.

Before I go ahead with the padding and PPF install that everyone has helpfully suggested, does anyone know what the torque setting should be for the bolts into the roof. I just don't think they were tightened enough...or if you haven't got a torque setting can you describe how tight you've gone with the bolts? Thank you in advance...
