No, no dashcams, no usb leads plugged in or anything else connected. The tracker has been there since last May with no issues. I’ve only noted this in the last month or so, previous to that, I had no cause to believe there may be a problem.

Wow, Has that actually happened to anyone? That is a bit worrying. I never even thought of it.

Security tracker ! The working version we now discovered can be checked by going onto a website which we never were told about when we recieved the unit ?

Thanks for getting back to me. The tracker on mine is under the steering wheel, to the right. It’s where the OBD port should be. Not sure if it’s plugged into that or not, I need to do some investigating.

no mate. on my list ;) Have dash cam and tracker. Just came back from a week away and it wouldn't start at the airport. Luckily I keep a power pack in the van which always jumps it easily enough.

Update..... Looks like the van has come back to life. The dashcam, wifi, tracker, Victron and leisure battery have sprang into life. So that must mean the battery is back in with a charger. It's in the garage.... So assuming we are having engine work done?. . . And then two days later...

...drains - even got to the point where I don’t leave USB cables plugged into ports when van is stationary and have switched off indoor lighting when doors open. There is a tracker - but I consider that a necessity rather than a parasite. Can’t think what else could be the cause of the drain.

Gents, thanks for your responses, been really helpful to rule out some theories. No other non OEM connected other than tracker, don’t know how that is powered so will take it back to the converter and ask them to investigate. Will post a further message when I have an answer. Thanks again.

Disk lock is perfect it’s very hard to break so thieves will walk away . All other alarms and trackers can be hacked. Plus at home have a camera pointing at the Van

...JustKampers. Full EU cover, 8000 miles, commuting, 2 people. Agreed £59k valuation but need to send pictures etc! They’re also sending us a tracker to fit (nano?)! Basically parking on the road, just buying the van, and having 0ncb for van (15 for car), and £59k valuation is what’s killing...

I think it’s always been like it, I’ve only had the van 6 months. Dashcam is on the LB already (I think!), and I can’t believe a Tracker would draw enough to do that to the starter battery… I’ll try and get photos of SB and LB… but I suspect it might be a case of pulling fuses to try and work...

I used Ghost Installations for my Immobiliser, Tracker and Dash Cam and didn't have any issues. They used a 3rd party installer who was local to Aberdeen.

100% agree willth @Sabre waste of money and 3 seconds to defeat. If you want peice of mind and/or something insurance approved look at a tracker immobiliser system from the like of MetaTrak

That’s not bad. It comes down reasonably quickly as they gain NCB and more years driving. As long as they keep a clean record!! Maybe worth sneaking a tracker in there to keep an eye!
