I have a T32 and considering the eibach 50mm drop and 20 inch load rated wheels. We also tow a caravan (twin axle) does anyone know if this will cause me any issues with the extra weight on the back OR is it a complete no no?? Help please.
Ps some of the pics in this thread look awesome!! This is why I want to change mine. Thanks

Couldn't you fit a adjustable damper to the rear like the b14s to compensate for the extra weight and drop of the rear of the van

Im no exoerienced at this I'm afraid, I will look into this option and talk to the mechanics. I've just had a revo re map on it and the garage mentioned to me that dropping it will look great. I was just concerned with towing the caravan. Thanks for your help

To be honest neither have I my dad was a caravaner but he had air suspension on his Range Rover must be someone on here that knows

The cost of the B14's needs to be taken into consideration also. I will have a chat with them and look at the right option. Thanks again.
Only question I forgot to ask is your caravan single or double axle?
Just googled the question there are discussions on the t4-t5 forum they are towing caravans with -60mm drop so as long as you get the t32 rated springs also what towbar have you fitted detatchable?
Would be interested to find out m8 as the Mrs wants a caravan aswell for some strange reason, maybe I can take her and the kids up to north Wales at the beginning of the summer hols leave them up there and come home to peace and quiet and work

Caravan is twin axle. I have a swan neck fixed toe bar fitted by VW.

I will report back once I have more data. Caravanning is great - I can recommend it!! Plus the amount of people that ask about the Kombi is unbelievable also! We spent some time at lady Margaret's park north Wales, worth a look when you purchase one.

That's the one! Nice Indian and Thai take away in Chirk! Will be going back sometime soon. The pitches are a good size, you can pitch up next to each other.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I'm liking the 30mm drop with 18" wheels, it has a nice even look and still high enough to be practical as a camper over roughish ground
Even though I have went lower (coilovers) and bigger wheels (19"), I find myself agreeing with this. May stick with the coilovers for another year or so before changing back to standard struts and rear shocks with the -30mm Eibach springs.

Do you have a pic of your van? TBH I will look at the profile when it's been dropped a little. I do like the devonport alloys, but it just sits a tad to high for my liking.

Mine is stock standard on 16" wheels, not entirely sure if I want to lower it or even change the wheels. If I do lower it looks like 30mm would suit me fine, then the wheels might well stay as I'm a bugger for wrecking wheels on kerbs and the 16s are a little more forgiving. I don't have a picture of the van in it's current state only interior picture of the conversion sorry

Whilst it is not a caravan, I tow a RIB with mine and have a kombi bed in the back. I have the van sitting on B14's and there is next to no deflection on the rear. Take a look at the pictures I have stuck up on this thread
https://www.t6forum.com/threads/operation-b14-has-commenced.2135/
had the van full to the roof with camping gear an the RIB on the back on Friday and the rear had dropped probably no more than 10mm over what it sits at when empty. I deliberately left the rear 10mm higher than the fronts for this reason.
