There's a few niggles with it now including a vibration in 5/6/7 DSG gears, so really just come to terms with another big investment. They seemed pretty genuine, and as an approved dealer they would get paid for the warranty work so they would make. Just strange it didn't show anything up, but as you say they didn't do gas analysis, just measured the oil.

Burning / passing as much oil as you report I would expect some smoke, oily exhaust and probably a DPF blockage.

The DPF would stop any visual smoke or anything oily getting to the tailpipe.

My understanding is that a DPF is at best 80% efficient, I’ve never come across any single pass filter which has a 100% ratIng.

Thanks for that info I'll give it a try

Im having this vibration/ rattle. I’ve had a go at prising out the blanking plate cover but if feels like something will break. Any directions/ advice?
