4 motion offside stub axle

Hi all

My name is Stu and I'm new to the forum. I have a T5.1 140hp 4 motion that has oil weeping from the offside Stub shaft. The parts diagram seems to show the stub shaft passes through the final drive box and into the main gearbox.
Can anyone tell me if the stub shaft can be extracted without removing the final drive box?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The shaft passes through the winkelgetriebe. Doubt it can be removed insitu but the seal may be replaceable with the driveshaft off. I've got a 4motion box in the garage if you want a photo.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I did tackle it and you can't get the dust seal off without lowering the final drive box. To be honest, upon closer inspection it wasn't leaking oil anyway so all is good and no movement in the stub shaft. Yeah any photos would be much appreciated
