ACC retro?

hi
I have just bought a new T6. Fantastic van!
I have the ACC sensor in the bumper because I understand this sensor is also used for the auto brake assist thing. My steering wheel has the cruise control but not the ACC button. Can the ACC be retrofitted. The dealer said I had ACC when I collected the van but he obviously has got confused.
Thanks

According to the handbook it’s the centre button on the left side of steering wheel between cruise +- buttons.

Ah. That's just a blank on mine. Makes sense.

I've got the city brake front sensor too so wouldn't mind doing an Acc upgrade if one gets developed

The acc has an extra button [#]for range, in the centre on the left hand side, when you press it the speed -[#]+ buttons adjust the target distance in front.

I love it but it does get annoying when you're tootling along the motorway/dual carriageway and someone feels they must overtake you cos you're just a van and then pulls in ahead and promptly slows to less than you were doing. You suddenly realise after a while you've been driving for 2 miles at 60 and end up having to pull out and overtake them

To be fair though it's better than having to manually change it all the time.

Just did 700 miles in two days, mostly all motorway. Now I know what ACC is I found it painful without it lol

You're right, you soon get used to it being there, I just have ordinary cruise in my car and have to keep remembering that I'll keep on going if the car in front slows :D

Anyone heard of an possible upgrade yet for acc on a van with sensor for brake assist already fitted?

I know that theres a few folk working on it but not heard anything about it being possible yet.

If you fancy giving it a go and want to swap your regular CCS buttons for the ACC one's I might be interested. (certainly save me a few quid buying a CCS set from Poland anyhow).

Please read my linked post.
Just swapping the MFSW Buttons will not enable ACC, it only will disable CCS

Hi. Since posting this back in 2017 I realise this retro ACC fit is now possible with MFSW button replacement and coding.
I’m very excited to get this.
I’ve had mixed messages about the ABS pump. Some say you need to replace for it to work below 20mph and others say no need to replace.
Anyone know the correct answer here, as I want to make sure I make the right choice? Thanks
