Best money ever spent on the ghost , pease of mind when there’s a small fortune sat on the drive , you soon get used to the sequence after you have put it in wrong twice :-(

How long does it take to fit? - or is it just programming, are they still fitting at this time?

Took my installer around 1 hour to fit ghost.

Same for telemetrics smartracker unit

Are these the ones that you leave plugged in to your OBD port..?

It would be easily spotted and removed.

I know someone who hid there OBD port behind the dash and fitted a dummy OBD port in its place to try and fool any would be car thief...

He never need to find out if his theory worked.... thankfully...

Apparently, you plug them in switch to off (immobilise the vehicle) remove the ODBII connector. Then reverse to mobilise the vehicle. Sounds a bit of a faff, but for the price could be useful if it works. Hence, I wondered if anyone had tried one and had any success?

I’m still forgetting to input the code and can’t get my brain to remember how to unlock it once I’ve tried to drive away
still, at least I know it works and won’t let me down.

There is no subscription for the ghost, was that for a tracker?

That was all in fitted with the tracker

as loz says, Ghost is a one off payment...

The additional tracker offered by most Ghost certified installers does has a subscription fee attached...

I went with a different supplier and had the S7 Smartrak system fitted and run by globaltelemetrics. This was £199 fitted and they offer a one off vehicle ownership subscription of £399. so no on-going annual charges.

Ghost was around £300 fitted

So, after reading several threads about vans being stolen or people attempting to steal them I'm feeling slightly disconcerted and feel some security may be the next best buy.
What do people recommend first, Ghost, tracker, pedal locks etc etc etc?
