Audi RS4 Seat Upgrade

It’s a difficult one as I’m not familiar with these setups. I never had a chance to even look at these and wiring info they come with

After all this mine have gone up the wall! Doh!

They stopped working so scanned the van and it's coming back with 2 faults on the heated seat control module. It's says both circuits are short to ground.

I've unplugged the seats and stripped back the wiring so it's just the oem wire with nothing plugged in and I'm still getting a fault.

Anyone shed any light on it for me? Also, is the heated seats module easily accessible incase it's gone tits up?

Cheers, Tom

Can you post a screenshot of the faults? If the seats are not connected they will throw a fault. Did you check the fuse for them? Yours is t6 or t6.1? The module in t6.1 is clipped on the left centre dash support leg behind the gearstick trim by the floor so pita to access

Yeah I'll get a screenshot this evening.
No not checked the fuse, probably should have started there. Mines a t6.1 yes. So it's a carpet out job if I need to get to the module! FML

No carpet out just the gearknob out and the whole hump trim too so that means loads of other things out to get to remove it

Let me see if I have a pic saved when I did my climatronic conversion…

Fuse 55

Thats some weird looking faults that make no sense to be honest. The main module still only feeds the temp sensors and both heating pads per seat at same time not independently. Can you check if you have any voltage on the temp sensor wire grey/purple and white/blue on other seat when seats are on at any setting 1 2 or 3?

The sensor wire is saying between 9-10v. When I first did the seats, they were reading about 2.5v

Not got a clue what's going on with it!

That would be great cheer bud. Will at least give me some starting point to know whether it's the van or seats at fault! Cheers!

Finally sorted my Audi front seat install very happy with them, decided to cover the bases in carpet trim cloth and added the matching armrest to my home made centre console. I would like to thank Stan The Man for his help/ advice on wiring the seat heaters .IMG_2166.jpegIMG_2164.jpegIMG_2165.jpegIMG_2167.jpeg

Very nice love mine. I was going to make panels to cover up the inner sides but it won't matter to you with the centre console insert.

Need to figure out the wiring for mine
