I’ve got the same table set up but with M6 fixings. I also added additional leg stability due to the table top “instability”
There’s a rotary fitting between the leg and table top too.

I tried that approach but it wasn’t successful so bit the bullet and forked out for something like this Force 4 Seat Swivel - Locking | Force 4 Chandlery
