Backlighting on dials dash lights. Does anyone know the fuse my dials no longer light up.

Think that's a T6.1 and yours looks like a T6.
Are you sure the 7.5 fuse is not blown AND is in the correct slot?
We're not talking the small 7.5 fuses like your piggy back fuse. It's the larger fuse right at the bottom in the 1st row of the fuse box.

I had an issue with my interior lights when I switched to leds (not the instrument lights though). I checked that 7.5amp fuse shown in the pic above and it was fine, looked and looked and then realised when I put it back, I'd put it in the wrong slot. From memory it's quite difficult to reach and I'd put it in the empty slot below where it was supposed to go. Worth a double check

Hi, no problem and thank you to everyone offering up advice !

Yes I ve checked that fuse. As the lights go off in the can when I removed it to inspect and back on again when I put it back in. Yes it’s most likely something to either do with piggy back or fuse in the wrong place. All fuses though seem to be in the right place by visually checking that they have contacts each side for the fuse if your looking at the fuse box. So I am stumped

If anyone has some suggestions or even someone with a t6 maybe could help confirm these dials actually light up so iam not going completely mad. I am pretty sure I remember them light up and visually illuminated at night.

Yes it was just a startline basic panel van. I am now just doing a sanity check
Please excuse me if I’ve misunderstood, but I’m just now wondering whether there’s a terminology issue here?

Have you been talking about the ‘dials’ as in speedo and/or rev counter, fuel gauge etc?
Or, are you referring to the rotary knobs that control the lights, heater etc?

Hi, the rotary knobs yes for fan and also rotary switch for the headlights. Apologies for any confusion I thought initially on opening the post I enclosed a photograph

I just checked my van (2022 t6.1 Trendline) and it definitely has backlighting on the knobs. From the photos you posted of your van, it looks like there should be at least lighting on the rotary knob itself (the little white bit) and would assume backlighting as well, otherwise you would not be able to see them at night.
Maybe someone with the same model as yours could confirm.

Thank you for your input. Yes it would be ideal someone of the same model would confirm. I am sure they did. It would make sense and also be but silly if not at night. The button above the knobs to circulate the air internally lights up too and it looks like the white numbers and dials on the Knobs are of the same plastic I just don’t know why they stopped working

2016 startline here - the controls illuminate when the headlight switch goes to side lights or main beam.
