battery keeps decharging.

bought new T6 a year ago. If we leave it on the drive 2-3mo the battery decharges. Is that usual? Checked by Red-Line who find nothing wrong but cannot really give us much advice. A friend tells me most modern cars will do this, and it should be kept on a trickle charger eg CTEK 40-106 over winter. Do folk agree? Would you buy a special trickle charger given the van has stop-start mode?
Thanks

Andy Y welcome to the T6 Forum. JumpShip is correct, it is unfortunate of course and it does batteries no good to be discharged like that either.

My T6 will last about 4 weeks before the battery voltage drops enough to cause problems with starting so maintenance charger a good idea. As above if your battery has been deeply discharged its ability to hold a charge will have been affected. You have start stop so you will have an AGM battery so it’s best to get a charger that is suitable for that type of battery.
