Say it again?
It were the remix version. " war, uhh! God! What is it good for, absolutely nothing...bugger beat me to it"No, don't remember that line.
I don’t agree. My son saw his first corpse while still a teenager (as a Police Officer) and has seen so much in such a short time, his level headedness, openness, professionalism and sense of right and wrong does me proud. He puts most fully grown adults to shame. Plus the 14 year olds he arrests sometimes seem as hard as nails to me, hearing what they’ve been up to. I wouldn’t call them soft. Troubled for sure, but not soft.I agree that "the youth of today" aren't as tough.
Although, I fell in some stingers yesterday and wanted to run in home crying.
Agreed - the mean often hides a significant deviation about the mean.I don’t agree. Like any generation you get those that cope and those that don’t. Those that share and those that don’t. And people who misunderstand.
Generalisations are overrated.
What we need is a war... it'll help these confused mites differentiate between things that are really "hurty" and those things that are merely a construct of their self-indulgent ideologies.
I'll get my [trench] coat...
I agree, I was being sardonic. I too saw dead bodies as a teen, most service persons see things that people shouldn't see, so that others don't have to be seen. I don't know what the average age is now, but I should imagine that it's still around na-na-na-na nineteen. Not only did it make me tough as the proverbial old boot, it also taught me not to take life too seriously!I don’t agree. Sadly, that's probably true.aaaah now this is interesting (well 'ish' anyway) and yes i know it was tongue in cheek but.
do you actually think the 'youth' would fight/go to war??
cos i have absolutely no doubt that they wouldn't. well not enough of them anyway...
Tetraethyl Lead and this is sprayed onto us daily, in surprisingly large quantities, by private aircraft.
I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning.
Hope this isn't an implication that the Chinese and illegal manufacturing go hand in hand.Lead was only banned in ground vehicles. In the UK we have the last producer (apart from a couple of illegal manufacturers in China) of Tetraethyl Lead and this is sprayed onto us daily, in surprisingly large quantities, by private aircraft. The EU will ban this by 2025 and the US will follow. The UK couldn’t give two f…. despite it being carcinogenic.
Anyway, we are still getting our lead. And it’s still just as bad for us.
Ooh, imagine the tea spillage! If we had to go to war now the protagonists version of the wrvs would whup this lot.... We'd be well screwed.
I'm an ostrich egg. A big one.Today, I mostly identify as a squirrel.
Is there a TikTok for that?Tongue firmly in cheek, but there is a seed of truth in my flippant comment - they really do need something to concentrate their minds on matters of the real world.
Agreed, right now. BUt imagine having to recruit a generation of wasters, losers and whiners? not a good thought. We'll all be speaking Russian by tea timeOoh, imagine the tea spillage!
But, being serious for a few seconds, our(uk) armed forces, though small in number, are one of the most thoroughly trained fighting forces in the world. 1 o' mines worth 3 o' yorn. Etc etc
The arena is electronic now!Ooh, imagine the tea spillage!
