Brake disc and pad upgrade options

Plenty of counterfeit Bosch and Brembo online and on action sites, so stick with reputable sources rather than going for the cheapest.

Okay thanks for the heads up. I dont expect this would be counterfeit. But apart from that, does every van have standard wear sensors?

Hi Everyone,

Due to some other priorities and the mechanic mentioning, "Well it's better to wait, they arent gone yet" I delayed this part.
Now, after driving an additional 20.000km, Its time to change them.

- I am wondering if I should go Bosch or Brembo, any pro's or Cons? (I see the alternatives, but I'll do that next time)
- And, do I need the ones including the Wear sensor? Is that default on a van like mine?

Thanks! Hope someone can give me some pointers.

I’ve done both and I’ve had Pagit too! The answer you are looking for is @Nutexa Frictions. Significantly better stopping ability and significantly reduced brake dust on your wheels.

Yes, my opinion is just that, my opinion! And, it is subjective too!!! I can’t tell from your pic what size discs you’re on, but going “bigger brakes” is definitely a consideration.

Oke but I live in the Netherlands, i will need to have them changed somewhere this year due to the yearly checkup and I will ask a mechanic to mount them instead of the far too expensive garage who is doing the yearly check.

I cant afford any risks or whatsoever at the moment. Its not a race car haha

@Nutexa Frictions i am open for a chat, maybe we can organize something if you are willing to ship to the Netherlands.

How can we get in contact?
Hi, we ship worldwide and you can even pay us in euros.

You can either send me a message on this forum or my email russ@nutexafrictions.co.uk and I can send some prices over. The prices will be less VAT as you will pay that in the Netherlands on collection.

From your pictures you need the 308mm discs and pads

You can’t knock that for a service

I’m sure they ship all over - your independent mechanic will love the product, believe me!!!

I’ve had my van parked up in all this crappy weather for 2 weeks and the nu texa rear discs don’t have any rust on them as per the pic. On previous discs there would have been surface rust after a few days of no use.IMG_7247.jpeg
I’m impressed with mine and they came in about the same price as the stuff at euro car parts so it was a no brainer.
