Brake disc and pad upgrade options

OK boys and girls. We are on the subject of which is good enough for our Transporters. I see Loz likes the Brembo range but are cheaper alternatives as good and will they perform as they should by stopping you?
These are OEM, that's the listing, and not a bad price, VW T5 T5.1 T6 T6.1 rear 294mm brake discs & pads kit JZW698601AK New genuine for sale and then we have, Rear Brake Kit (294mm X 22mm) VW T5 & VW T6 - J42321 which are cheaper still? Not in stock but can be ordered.
There may be others, but what do YOU buy and prefer if you are DIYing your own repairs? We are talking abt the rear as the front does come in different sizes. The rear may also but I'm not aware of that.
Thoughts and suggestions please or is it, You Get What You Pay For.

I like EBC brakes, particularly their greenstuff pads, just finished changing the T6 over to their ultimax grooved discs and greenstuff pads last weekend. Along with changing the rubber brake lines to HEL performance braided ones throughout. I like the initial bite that the greenstuff pads give, Whole kit cost me £412

@Dellmassive did a good post on brakes, I'll try and find it.

Edit - here

I was waiting for DBA discs to come into stock, but at £380 for a front pair maybe not..

IMO Brembo are worth the extra money as they appear to be harder and as a result last longer.
If I were selling a vehicle in the near future it would be the cheaper option for me.

I put pagid on mine all round, I have the larger front brakes. They stop well with no annoying squeal, and they’re wearing well. No issues with them.

While on the subject, what have people used to compress the rear brake cylinders? I know they require turning as they are compressed.

Draper brake caliper rewind tool, bought on the Internet I think or possibly Halfords, very good quality for the money though and it's lasted very well.

Use them on a previous vehicle they were excellent

Im looking at some replacement Discs and pads for my T6 t32.
I have been looking at the EBC discs and pads. Has anyone got any experiance with these?
I’ve just fitted some to my camper. EBC themselves recommended the same discs but with the (Apparently) new yellow stuff pads.
See. One in the what have you done to your van thread.
Cheers

I ran yellows on my m5 and thought they were great pads, with significant reduction in brake dust as an added bonus

Can someone tell me what diameters I'd need for my 2017 T32? Looking at fitting Brembo from EuroCarParts and I'm assuming 340mm front and 294mm rear (disc)

I’m sure 340mm is correct, but unsure of the rears. DellMassive has a post on here somewhere with the sizes displayed.
