Camper Mart

Minor scratch..

Yes, wrote an email to the sales "lad" - shnerd, who sold the van to me, with the photo of the roof attached. Got a reply. "There is not much we can do about that, apart from supplying you with the touch up pen :mad: which we have to order in and it'll take unto 15 working days to arrive". I drove to the garage (120 mile return trip) to show it to him in person, he said " I don't need to see it as I already seen it in the photo" You F*****G p***k I though to myself!. He said what do you expect from a used commercial vehicle, to be pristine? You what, I thought :mad:!?
Got back home, and embarked upon sending an email to used vehicles senior salesman who done the handover for me (top bloke), as the twit  who sold the van to me had a day off. I threatened to return the van for a full refund and go elsewhere to buy another one. Naturally he wasn't happy how I have been dealt with for the second time by the same salesman.
So, 8:15am On January 2nd I have received a call from the manager of the used sales department, who has profusely apologised and said that the damage should've been picked up upon PDI, considering they hand wash their vans prior to delivery (lazy bastards). Another thing to mention that the week before I collected the van I did make sure to have a look at it, before parting with my hard earned cash and discovered badly scratched inner faces of rear doors and C pillars (down to bare metal), which I did ask to get rectified before I come to collect it the following Saturday and I would not pay the deposit until I get to see the final result . So this is where manager said that had it been noticed at same time as me asking to sort out the inner rear doors, etc, it would've been painted there and then. So without any further mincing about he has asked me when would it be convenient for them to collect the van, get it painted and in the mean while I could have a loan van on them for a week ( they will also get a spare key coded to my van as original key was faulty) and as a gesture of goodwill, they will put a full tank of diesel upon returning my van to me.
I hope they sack the little shnerd !

So here we are. A bit of a PITA but at least it will get sorted.

these vehicle sales people don't give a s**t once you have parted with your hard earned money until you start making some noise and ruffling some feathers.
they don't want the bad publicity, hopfully they will sort it for you m8 and make sure you check the vehicle over when you get it back, welcome to the forum m8

From those who have been before can you recall if awnings were priced attractively last year? It's 180 mile round trip for me and I'm in 2 minds whether to travel, but it could be worth it if there are bargains

There were deals on kyham last year, quite good from memory, but make sure you know your internet prices as some traders were still higher than what was online. Enjoy the drive and have a beer (coffee) with us all.

Are folk wearing their forum t-shirts loving crafted by Mrs @BiTurbo so other members can easily come and say hi?

We bought a new Vango awning at Busfest (Still in the box) but didn't get round to getting a Cadac.
We are both heading to this show so might see you there.
We should arrange a T6 Forum lunchtime coffee meet?
