Carista tweaks

Im sure i remember that i had Large KPH in the display when i first switched it on . . . . . . then had to go into the settings and change something which changed it into MPH.

i cant remember what i done . . .. .

i remember having the "alt speed display" in KPH before adjusting something to swap it to MPH.

im sure LHD/RHD shouldnt effect things regarding the programming.

have you tried setting the regon code to UK or something other that AUZ and then giving it a go?

Everything is set to mpg/mph etc. I have also tried setting the region to Great Britain. No difference. By default it’s set to Europe and my alt display is in small mph. If I turn off the alt display then the large display is on kph. Basically if I’ve it set to Australia it’s identical
To the Europe setting it’s defaulted to.

A few of us have wanted a large metric speedo for travelling in Europe, but no one has posted about being able to find a way to do it yet

Evening chaps.
I’ve been having a mooch on here & had a helpful chat with Studley Glass, regarding vcdu mods.
Now I won’t lie, a lot of what you chaps on here say goes right over my head, but sounds great & there are things my 16 plate highline Kombi needs.
Mainly the factory folding mirrors to work off the fob & auto locking once you drive off.
So.... will a fabled Carista do this for me or will I be handing over beer tokens to a local genius??
Then we get on to re-maps? Revo? Who does those in the West Mids?

Carista will do autolocking but VCDS is required to make the mirrors fold with the key fob (if your vehicles compatible)

if anyone wants to use Carista my subscription just auto renewed as a pro and its completely useless to me so the more people that can use it and abuse it the better.
Open season, bring your van/car to MK and make any changes at any time.
Freebie all round.

What is the difference between this and VCDS?

Could you enable the speaker fader when fitting extra rear speakers?

Can you force a full dpf re-gen?

Carista won’t do rear fader or a forced regen.

It’s much more basic than VCDS but is good for changing functionality on certain features, but not full recoding.

For my van it's almost useless, and for my other cars too. Can change the light schedule and add a teardrop wipe to the wash/wipe. Whoopdee-f-ing-doo.
Anyone wants a play I'm happy to let you use it.

Anyone had problems with Carista not pairing. I get a solid red light indicating power but the blue flashes once so the WiFi doesn’t see it

Have a look in your Bluetooth settings...

Add the dongle to your phone then try the software again.

Doesn’t even get that far because it isn’t flashing blue and red
