Clearing the Air bag warning light

Any OBD scanner/tool should be able to reset fault codes/lights, dont see why your mates Snap On computer wont work
Might be worth looking what the fault code actually is when trying to reset it as if the fault is still present the light wont go out

If you get stuck you can always buy a carista unit Carista Bluetooth OBD2 Adapter and App: Diagnose, Customize and Service your Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mini, Scion, Toyota, VW, Seat or Skoda with dealer level technology: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
Its needs an active subscription for full functionality but you get a free trial when you first use it so would do what you want ?

Thanks Pauly, I can't remember why my pal could get the light to go out, he did clear the codes but it made no difference, could it be anything else, a fuse maybe? If so, where can you obtain a fuse diagram for the T6?

That Carista unit looks OK for the money, do you have one? Any good?

I have one along with VCDS, for the price its great and with a subscription can perform a variety of changes/personal preference settings, there are a few limitations to it (cannot directly code modules etc) but nothing that would limit 99% of end users

VIP members can gain access to fuse diagrams. Well worth the money. As Pauly says it would be interesting to see what the fault was as if it's still present the light won't go out.

If you go into the downloads section you will know have access to loads of documents and these increase or get updated often.

and I have seen it before, and now I have searched & serched but can't seem to find it ?

Can i remove the front seats without a airbag light coming on dash or is it a case of disconnecting the battery

You will only get the light on if you put the ignition on while the seat is disconnected.

On my other car, I removed the passenger air bag to trace a dashboard rattle. I fitted a resistor, 2.7 ohm IIRC (but could be vehicle specific) across the 2 wires so I could drive the car. Rattle remains so not the airbag!! And no warning light to get reset!

Just installed my leisure battery but before putting the seat back on I check it was all working as it should.. which it’s is. Yyyyaaayyyy
But now I have and air bag error. Which has to be when I started the van with out the seat on.. can I unplug the battery and leave for 12 hours to remove the error???

oooh! That's just the sort of thing I'd do....check it's working before all the faff of putting the seat back in. It just wouldn't cross my mind that it would error like that. I hope someone can help you out with a Carista/VCDS

Yaaay lol
Thanks Mate
Will have to try and find someone round Berkshire who has those programs and can help me out gutted thought it all went so well haha
Yeah, it’s easily done. You want to test the work, and forget the van throws a wobbly when everything isn’t connected! I’ve seen a similar issue with the airbag deactivation switch on the dash end.

You can buy a Carista dongle for £25 then use the 1 month free trial to reset the warning light. It’s an easy way out of the problem and in future you can read any fault codes on your van which is always handy if anything goes wrong in future.
