ClimAir wind deflectors

Smoke climair deflectors on pure grey. Really impressed with them. Managed to pick them up last week for £29.99 from Car parts 4 less using their MID20 discount code. Using the small screw provided an absolute must, really easy to do, tiny hole, keeps them nice and secure.
Thanks for the heads-up on the discount. Just dropped an unsubtle hint to dearest daughter as she was looking for Christmas gift ideas (before I got the van, I was a really awkward bugger to buy gifts for :D).

Finally went to fit my Climairs this evening after then being sat in the box for a month and whilst they look decent enough - and being a bit a bit fussy - the clip and screw arrangement looks a bit crap, and the alignment is quite skew meaning the deflector has to be put under a bit of tension to get it to align right. A bit of tension is probably good to provide stability at speed but not so good when the tension is maintained by a tiny screw. The design of the clip and rubber insert could be a lot more elegant.

I fitted mine last week.
Went on really easily and minimal fuss but I did have another pair of hands to hand me the teeny tiny screw when asked for.

Makes a big difference to driving with the windows open now.

I dry fitted mine for a fair while until I got the courage to drill and I think the twist is a deliberate part of the design to tension the whole of the rest of the deflector against the door frame.

The twist creating tension may be part of the design and as long as the tiny screw is up to the job then fantastic. The rubber insert and bracket still look a bit crap though. The bottom profile of the WD follows perfectly the line of the bodywork plastics. The rubber and bracket look like a bodge to me and creates little stepped gaps between WD and body. The screw should really be behind the WD too. It would look tonnes better.

I get your point but no issues now 18 months(?) later and honestly against the black trim I just didn't notice the bracket after about a week. The small screw isn't holding anything down as such it's a sideways tension.

My concern is if the metal corroded in any way, so I do have a quick look at it when I wash. Any sign of that and I'll replace with a new set.

Don’t get me wrong, they look great and on balance I’m happy with them. There’s room for improvement though.
