I have the 250se which has a DC-DC charge of 20Ah and also added the smartpass 120s as i run induction hob and have a 280Ah lithium battery.
problem is the smartpass only kicks in very occasionally, usually its just putting out 20amps (from the 250se) as apposed to near 120amp. we have seen it putting out near the 120amp (on the shunt display) but it doesnt do it constantly so its a bit of a head scratcher.

We have double and triple checked the smaller control wires are set for lithium. (on both units)
have drained leisure battery down so there is plenty to charge.
Starter battery is full to the point start/stop will work

Van is a 2023 LWB 4motion with bi turbo engine, i believe alternator is 160amp

any thoughts?

that will be most likely low voltage from the Alternator - due to the Smart power contrrol of the start/stop setup.

try again - but turn on your headlights and blower motor, that normaly make the Alt put out motre power.

whats your voltages?

got any battery monitors?

Didnt make any diff, blower on full and full beam on. only monitor i have is a shunt which just cycles at 19-20amp charge
van battery is at 12.57v i will charge to see if makes any diff, but even when stop start working its still only putting out 20a

The d250 is a 20A charger.

And the smart pass is just a glorified relay.... It's not a charger with a lithium profile.

So with your starter battery being at 12.5v it's to low to charge the lithium.... You need 14.2v to charge the lithium.

I'm not sure your set up will work the way you think it will?

Seem like your getting the max the d250 can charge at.... Ie 20A.

Try contacting CTEk with your battery voltages and ask them.?

I think the smart pass is best suited to AGM and SLA batteries.... And not lithiums.
