want a genuine button to fill my blanks... to control a rear light near the little one in the back...

to add more grimness i wanted to put it in to the same circuit as the genuine slide door system so like the fronts...you can switch on and off but also works on door.

any help as always appreciated.

thanks

was thinking of putting this in above the slide door on the interior roof edge...

i have the 6 led down lights in the back already working off the leisure battery.. on a two way circuit...

i did find this after a further search... but really wanted a gen unit

There is definitely a thread on here about these, along with part numbers.
Will have a search.

Chris, been trolling through threads here trying to source a distributer for T6 Dash Switches.
i have fitted Lazer in grille spots & a Lazer light bar to a front runner rack & would love to retrofit some dash switches as the Lazer ones supplied are only 'sticky backs'

Best way is to find the part nos from one of the websites that lists them, think I used oemepc or something like that, then just put the part no into an eBay search and you’ll be able to get it from Poland or German. Remember they are instantaneous switches though, so if you’re using them for something that doesn’t involve going through the BCM you’ll have to use a latching relay. Or send your inputs to an arduino then the worlds your lobster as far as controlling things.

nice one thanks mate, i am in Australia some of the sites listed on this forum are restricted to me so far i will dig deeper, yea the Lazers have a latching relay so a momentary button is all i am after ... i see lots of pics of them on here Amarok has icons for spotlights specifically .. i reckon they should do them for Transporters too

As far as I know, Transporters have one switch per position and spotlights isn’t one of them so you have to pick a switch already labelled and then remember that’s the one. Or put a decal on it. Or just wire the relay so your Lazers come on with full beam?

I like that get the buttons to light up and when it comes to selling on I can claim its got every option fiitted.....

I'd love to add "7E0941435E" and "7E0941435D" buttons to my T6 4motion 2018 just to look nice. If added will the buttons light up?

There is one more thing to remember.....

All the buttons are designed to fit ONLY in their correct position, i.e. they are keyed to the hole in which they fit.

I found one odd switch for my T5 when I installed TPMS, the re-set button for a LHD is fitted in a different place to the one for a RHD vehicle.
I’d like to fit a tpms reset button. Is it straight forward. Can’t find any info. Otherwise I’ll have to rest through obd11. Cheers

Yes it's straight forward, I've done it on a previous van. My comment above is even more appropriate as there is a RHD button and a LHD version. Ask me how I know! It doesn't actually matter if you get the wrong one unless there is already another option that you have which used the same location.
I'm away in France at present but if you need wiring assistance I can look it all up when I get back home after the end of the month.

Yeh that would be great. I have looked at the wiring diagram on here but still not too sure. Looks as though there’s 4 wires to it. Live, neutral and two others that go to abs module..Anyeay, thanks for reply. I’ve got a converted panel van, No button and no MFD. so basically mrs drives about on the rims ‍

There are wires to the dash button illumination circuit that brings the illumination on with the side lights.

If this is the wiring diagram that you are looking at you need to common the brown (-ve) and Grey/Blue (Illumination feed) from another button. I seem to remember that it was getting enough slack in an existing bit of loom to connect these that was my biggest headache. I intensely dislike 'Schotchloks' so I will leave the method of connecting up to you.
You then need to pick up the correct +ve 12v connection, the black wire (sw - Schwarz in German) to pin 4 of the switch and run a wire from pin 5 of the switch to the ABS unit plug/socket 38a pin 20. That is the 'vi (purple) wire in the diagram To do that you will need to get hold of the correct miniature connector to clip into the plug/socket itself. VW do have repair wires with connectors ready fitted which you can splice to your new wire but getting hold of them is often not easy.

I've no idea what your wiring skills are and certainly do not mean to offend but take care wiring as short circuits get HOT and often result in a fire!

I forgot that I had a T6 manual on a memory stick with me in the camper.

thanks for the info. Yeh I’m confident enough just wanted to make sure I was going to the correct pins on the abs plug. I’m hoping I can just get a button and harness from stealer
