Daylights and dash mounted 12v socket

Well I must finally admit defeat. I got the cigarette lighter socket near gearstick working but got the life of me cannot find the fuse for the top of dash mounted 12v socket. I found the fuse board and replaced the fuse for the one near gearstick stick and now works ok. But cannot find the fuse for top one. The two under passenger seat are ok. Secondly I cannot work out how to access the daylight bulbs. Garage said you have to remove the headlamps. Surely that cannot be right otherwise it's a £70 garage bill to fit two LED bulbs. My van is a 2016 transporter shuttle.

Being a Shuttle, I assume you have H7 headlights with the DRLs at the bottom.

They can be done with the headlights in place, but it's a tight squeeze and a proper faff. Also as your van is a 2016, it will have the old type of bulb holders which are prone to melting. Have a search on here and you'll find threads about how to upgrade to the newer bulb holders. That definitely is a bumper off, headlight out job.

If you are not comfortable with doing that yourself, it's best to get the new holders before you go to the garage, otherwise they'll strip it down, find the fault, then have to wait for the parts to fix it.
