Double-Seat Hinge - feedback?

I've been to see Gordon today and had the bracket and lower seat base fitted, massive improvement and having a swivel base the seat base brings it back to original height, hes trying to get away from selling on ebay but has a new site www.vankraft.co.uk, tho theres only the bracket on there at present, said hes also looking at a facebook page, really nice chap too

Get the eBay hinge like I have ordered. It will allow the seat to fold and give you the extra angle on the back rest.

How much did you pay Zombie, Im sure they were £95? I messaged a guy on there who previously had them and now wants £105 + pp. very steep.

Yeah price has gone up to £115 delivered. Still cheaper than the outdoor technical version.... unless you already have a folding seat, in which case outdoor will convert it for a lot less.

I have the Kiravans seat (twin bench passenger) base which works great though it can be a real bind if the holes aren't correctly lined up and it (for me) just takes too long so was wondering whether there was any more user friendly systems available?
The Kiravans system can become very tight over time (so much so one time one of the 4 heads was impossible to turn by hand so the seat could not be swivalled during that trip - I now carry a pair of soft grips just in case it ever happens again).
If anyone here knows of a better system than the Kiravans bench seat system could you please advise?
Thanks

I'm not the biggest fan of my kiravans swivel (as it's too high) but that doesn't sound right to me. I use mine alot and the bolts have never locked up. Mind you I do spray silicon spray on the nylon plate occasionally and did once put a touch of teflon grease on the bolts. Mainly as I injured my arm and was spinning it 1 handed.

Also it's far easier if you have the reclining seat I've found as you can manipulate it forward to squeeze is round. And having the door open helps too. Takes a min or 2 tops.

Thankfully it's only happened the once and since then, like you the bolts have been sprayed etc, that said, having the grips onboard give me piece of mind :unsure:

Another thumbs up for Gordon at Vankraft, I purchased and fitted his reclining / folding hinge for the double front passenger seat today, very well made and it feels substantial, all in took 15 minutes to fit with a good idiots guide but I do have a kiravans swivel base which makes the whole job a bit quicker... highly recommended bit of kit. Also took the opportunity to grease the threaded holes on the swivel base at the same time, cheers @Dale for the tip off.

Yep it's pretty easy, defiantly makes the seat more comfortable and the folding option is handy.

As I'm not so good with a spanner sometimes,

I like to check if doable :)

Hello, much interested, newcomer here, just posted identical concern few moments ago, so glad to come across, where can I buy them?, how about DIY now?
P.s. FB page does not open to me ☹

@Skinnysye
Thanks for the hint. Can you elaborate : meaning other fix up/unmount activity later on? The box seems to be quite standard. Do you mean that all that dimensions are of potential interest in case of T6? I should have some alike in my drawers...
