Thanks for your reply. I’ve done just little runs in and around town recently but going to take it for a decent run tomorrow. It’s the orange engine light that has come on. I’ll make a point of filling it right up with decent diesel tomorrow too.
Probably needs EGR flush.I’ve just got my t6. Its an adblu. It’s done 130k. Was told it’s had all done that is needed of those miles. Was fine on it’s big motorway drive home after a couple of short stints in town on comes the light. Had it reset at a garage was fine on a reasonable drive home but now on again after stopping for fuel then driving through town. I’m not sure what’s going on. Was told to drive it like I stole it. Will see if a motorway stint does the trick.
..... ho Carista e sul mio telefono Android ho scaricato l'App Vag Dpf, ma non mi fa vedere niente ... dove sbaglio? ..
What engine group you are using in VAG DPF? Group 15 CXHA(2) should work for T6.I have Carista and on my Android phone I downloaded the Vag Dpf App, but it doesn't show me anything ... where am I wrong? ..
Mine must be broken!!!! It never does any of the above other than the stop start is sometimes disabled but I put that down to a low state of battery charge as it only disabled the stop start for the first couple of minutes of each journey . Never heard as fan at all! And never seen my rpm go upto 1000 at tick-over. I have VCDS so will look to se if it records last Regen info. Cheers
First you must Bluetooth pair your phone to Carista, the PIN is 0000. Then in VAG DPF got in to Settings and select Carista under the ELM327(?) section so it knows how to connect to your van.Ho stabilito leggi dall'ECU ...
What's the scale for "Soot mass calculated"?I’ve had a play with VAG DPF to get a better idea what is happening with regens. I logged the stats and then put it in a graph.
You can see it takes a while for the DPF to get up to temp, over 500c it starts burning off soot but then at 600c it burns off in a flash. This particular regen was probably the fastest my van has ever done, perhaps connected to the fact that I kept the revs over 2000 rpm to try and get the exhaust temperature up fairly quickly.
My fuel economy drops off a cliff while the van regens from 34mpg to 28mpg so I like to get the regen done quickly where poss and not drag it out over multiple short journeys. It’s better to get it done in 3-4 miles rather than suffer bad fuel economy for 20-30 miles made up of short trips that don’t let the cycle complete.
For vans which are in regen a lot or vans with general bad fuel economy I would encourage anyone to have a go with VAG DPF, if you’ve got Carista you just need to download the app on an Android phone or tablet for £4.

Well spotted. I multiplied the soot values by 10 so they would display on the same scale, the graph still shows the real soot burn off profile. The calculated soot level at the start of regen was 29.51g and it dropped to 8.1g by the end. What's the scale for "Soot mass calculated"?
