EcoFlow alternator charger...strange or normal??

Hello folks,
Strange goings on, or at least I've never noticed before....
Using the app, I noticed that the vehicle battery whilst driving is constantly fluctuating between 12.2v and 14.8v.
I have the setting on the app set at 13v for the vehicle battery threshold and yet the charger doesn't start charging until around 14.5v. Strangely while in traffic on the motorway, the vehicle battery voltage drops when I accelerate but then rises to around 14.8 when I'm off the accelerator....any logical reason??
Then, when I parked last night the EcoFlow was at 58% and this morning it was on 46%. Went to start the van and it warned of low battery and only just about started. Nothing plugged into the EcoFlow and it's on charge mode, not reverse charge. Incidentally the EcoFlow asked for a firmware update this afternoon so I have done that.
Is any of the above normal...not unusual... worrying???
Cheers.

normal behaviour.

coasting caused Regen breaking and high voltage.

and motorway crusing will off load the alternator causing a lower starter battery voltage.

you can trick the van into a higher power mode by turning on the headlights or blowers on two, or some other high electrical load like heated screen etc.

The ecoflow will self consume power when in sleep mode,. Did you have the ecoflow on standby?. With the bt or wifi on?

All the above will consume power ...

And even more if any other outputs are on.. USB, 12v, 249v etc.

Starter battery sounds low....

Get a smart charger connected for 24hrs. To charge then retest.

The alternator charger should shut down when the engine is not running. But it also will consume some power went into standby.....

Also make sure that all of your eco flow kit is fully firmware up to date.

Yeh the EcoFlow was in sleep mode...all outputs off though. I'll test tonight with it off...it's 100% ATM.

If it's connected to wifi etc for the App, then it will use some power....

Fw updates can help with power management.

By previous bluetti would use 1% per hour when sleeping..... !!!!

Would / should the van charge the vehicle battery between journeys? I'm wondering if the van battery has been giving the EcoFlow too much of its power...when I checked this morning the app was set to 11v. I've changed this back to 13v. It did need a firmware update so that's done now. I'll see what happens overnight.

Ah ok....that would be something like this lost. I'll switch off completely and see. Thanks for your help .

11v is defo well too low.

That will drain your starter battery.

Try setting to 12.6v . That's should be a good start point so that come on when the engine is running.

I've no idea how it got to 11v...it was always set at 13v. It's back to 13v, I'll set it as you suggest and see what happens. Ta
