EcoFlow and fridge question.

Morning folks.
I have an EcoFlow Delta Max 2 running an Igloo compressor fridge. Question is....what would deplete the battery quickest... running the fridge from the 240v or 12v outlets ?
Thanks.

i find that the fridges run better on the 240v side.

the maths would imply different. . . but I've tried it and it works better for me on 240v.

compressor load is around 60w while running down to temp,

then cycles on/off as needed . . . so its tricky to work out a real Wh number.

I've had a Delta2 max run two fridges for a weekend no problem.

i think the real reason is that the EF 12v output is regulated at 12.0v

but the fridge PSU runs at 14.4v or similar.

so the compressor like the higher voltage, . . . with a fix 12.0v the fridge pulls more current to get the same Watts,

then you have 12v power volt drop over the connecting cable,

then the 12v plug and socket heating up.

all these minor point add up to the fridge running better off 240v from your EF D2M

I'd agree. I ran it off 12v but to be honest and for the simplest of reasons, the cable is less intrusive running from the 240v sockets...I'll stay with the 240v. I'm finding it runs the fridge for 4 days but with the alternator charger it makes no difference to me. Thanks for the reply

Lee,
Does your EFDM2 keep losing WiFi connection? Basically mine is constantly disconnected from the app and I have to delete it and start again...no easy way to do it... The charge is always connected???
