Electric Kombi anyone?

 I feel queasy, I'm going to look after my van, she could be the last Diesel engine model available. T7 could be electric.

Pretty inevitable really. You can pretty much guarantee that the T7 will include hybrid and all electric versions. Electric motors should be perfect for van use as they produce maximum torque at zero/low 'revs'

great for UK use if the range is 250+ miles..... But i'd be so nervous heading to the continent in one!

Yeah, imagine trying to get the recharge lead through one of those poxy european two pin adapters first:laugh:

I'm sure they are going to start building electric tanks and fighter jets soon !!!!
Sorry guys don't shoot I'm on charge ........????

It's the same load of cr*p VW have been putting out for about 15 years now with a picture of the vehicle. But yes, I'll have an electric one pls, but must have minimum 500 mile range.

Never going to happen lol, not unless they pack about 1ton of batteries into the floor, and even then lets be honest..... vw not going to use the best tech for this as it would be 'Tesla" money and I doubt anyone will spend 70k + on a Kombi.

i would be if: range is 250 +, is bigger and quality made like Tesla or better(i understand it would have high price so my requirements are also high)

I welcome a full electronic model. Providing it doesn't look totally stupid.

Shame you can't just change a big battery over in a "filling station" and then be on your way. Otherwise you'll probably only get 250 miles range on something as aerodynamic as a house brick and the potential to weigh in at 3.2 tons.

But the change is happening. All focus will be on E model vehicles and battery technology will only get better and better.

Yes @Jonny but only because there's no factory yet but Honda and GM have got together to build one in the U.S. both pitching in $85 million each. Nothings perfect though as the process of producing hydrogen can release carbon monoxide and also methane neither of which are good for the environment..if they can contain that they will have it cracked and it's got to be easier to prevent a factory from polluting than millions of individual cars or lots of power stations that produce electricity.
