have you got any AA or RAC cover?

they may be able to help you get the fuel cover open.?
 
Ok. Is there a way to remove the petrol cover panel with it closed
yes. . . .

but its slightly destructive.

you need to break the black plastic tab, that keeps the door shut behind the passenger door. . . or ping it off.


its replaceable. . . but you need to cut it WI though damaging the door or flap . . or lever it off.


once that plastic tab is removed the fuel flap will open, with the passenger door still closed.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Going to try this shop for a small saw. Our ceramic bread knife won't cut it... At least my family has a sense of humour...
 
or get a pick in to unclip the black bit from the mounting.

you might be able to get a wedge ( flat blade screwdriver ) (with tape to protect paint work?)

in here to try and pop the clip off . .

well done. . . .

we got there in the end.

you will need that electrical fault looked at soon though
 
keep us posted with the repair for the door lock issues and blowing fuses. . .
