Do you have Carista..?

It will give you some fault codes which may give you a clue as to what the problem might be..

I think that lamp could mean all kinds of different things, something bad or something minor...

Thanks for the response Jason. I don’t have a Carista but I’m going to get one ordered having read that thread. Fingers crossed it’s something minor. Perhaps a decent drive out is in order too. Although at this time tricky.

Carista is useful for more than just finding out what faults might be on the vehicle.... Some useful features below...

Had that on my old T5 and had the RAC out who scanned it and it turned out to be a glow plug out. Had me worried for a bit when you see the engine icon but that's all mine was. I'm sure it can be a few things but a scan will tell you.

Thankfully after a motorway drive at about 2,000 revs for 20 mins It has been resolved. I have a Carista on the way now anyway for any future lights. Feeling very relieved! Thanks for your response.
