Fault code 15898 [Resolved] Fuel Temp Sensor wiring

Went to go to work this morning and the glow plug light is flashing and the engine management light is on. The van has gone into limp mode so I’ve parked it back on the drive - any ideas ? Also suggestions of somewhere in the Glos area to take it please

Hi, welcome to the forum. You’ll need to scan your van to add some more detail. It could be a number of different things.

Carista is a good cost effective option. You get a month trial included in the cost.

Does the van drive any different? Did the light go after a restart? Any other symptoms?

Not sure of the warranty status or VW assist availability due to being over 100k but worth checking.

It’s in limp mode so very slow and gutless. After turning on and off it’s fine for a couple of mins till the lights come back on

It’ll certainly need to be scanned. You can look on the VCDS map to see if there’s a local user that can help, or order a Carista from somewhere like Amazon that does same or next day delivery. Good luck!

Sadly loz, by the end of the bypass the coil light was flashing and back to limp mode ¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Looks like a trip to the garage , the reviews look good for the place in cam that you suggested
