Fault code 15898 [Resolved] Fuel Temp Sensor wiring

My 2019 van has recently stalled at junctions a few times, which has been unusual... and I have since had the amber flashing coil warning light on the dash.
This thread helped me to identify some damaged wiring by the sensor as shown in other posts, linked to the fault code P0183 - Fuel Temp Sensor A Circuit High.
I’ve reset the warning with Carista though it does come back after a while, unsurprisingly, and sometimes with the engine warning light as well. It’s been like this for about a week, and today the particulate warning light has come on as well, though I’m pretty sure DPF regens have been happening as they should.
I have the van booked in at a local garage to be looked over next Tuesday - is it safe to continue driving it with a damaged wire - can it do any further damage? It's my daily driver and I have a daily 2 hour commute... Thanks in advance!

that looks like it’s partially unplugged?

Hi @Spaghetti - it was plugged in fine, but was indeed the damaged wire that was causing the issue - I've had it fixed, the DPF regen has cleared the soot build-up as it should and it drives much better as a result. Thanks for your response - I'd have had no idea were it not for others on here!
FIngers crossed this thing is ok now - I recently had an oil service, and then needed a steering rack replaced - it has not been uneventful!

Not good! Hopefully plain sailing now.

I did have a spare one of those temp senders as I replaced the fuel pipes and they come with one as standard.

Hi mate,

Do you still have the sensor by any chance? I’m getting the same fault as @Daclarke35 & checked the cable. It has been rubbing against another which has caused the outer protective sheath to wear away but the wires inside look in tact
