Fiamma f40...

Hi All, first time on the forum :) I'm in the market for an awning and really like the Fiamma F40, I see some of you haven't had good results. I was wondering if any of you have an F40 fitted to a LWB? I've just been told it wouldn't fit mine?
Hi, my suggestion, check the distance between the last and first holes for fixing roof rails. T6 SWB have 206cm. If it is the same in LWB it should fit.
The rear bracket has a one bolt (longer than other) fits into the awning housing to prevent sliding. Font bracket can be moved, as you can see on the picture, it could be moved forward by about 10cm.

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for the reply & pictures. I've just been out to measure the holes, the front one to furthest back is 246cm but there's another towards the front of the van at 210cm from the front... if that makes sense?

The F40 is about 250cm so you couldn’t use the fixing 246cm apart.
It may work on the 210cm apart fixings but could either foul the roof or end up slightly out of level because of the slight curve of the roof.
Ideally you need someone local with one to let you have a trail fitting.

Yea agreed, maybe I should buy the brackets and try adapting them before buying the awning. Do you know if the awning mounts to the brackets in a certain position? As in can the bracket be slid towards/away from each other?

I have Fiamma F40 270cm. If the distance between the fixing holes in yours lwb is 246 cm, it will fit.
If you are close to Hinckley then come and see what it looks like and compare it with your roof ;-)

Thanks Paul really appreciate that :) I travel the country with work, if I'm your way soon I'll swing in.

It does, but only so the hole for the long screw lines up. If you redrill that you could slide it forward or back to suit.

The F40 awning is 2.7metres long usually the F45 is sold as 2.6m long for the sub and 3m long for the lwb. Fiamma only list the F40 for the swb and assume its to do with the roof fitting points not being in the right place with a lwb

Would anyone be able to relay the dims of the bolt location on a SWB? Working from the back to front, I haven't included the back door in the measurements below, just the body with the dip in the roof. You'll notice at the front it angles in, this is also the drivers side but the bolts match on the other side.

I have just purchased a F40 and want to make sure i have what i need to install.
Can anyone confirm something like this woudl work to run the length to prevent any rubbing/rattle/paint damage?
Self Adhesive Foam Seal Strip Weatherstripping
That should work Mike.
I used a bit of spare “sounds like a golf” rubber strip I had left over.
To fully stop and paint damage you’ll need to add some PPF to the roof where the rubber touches.

Do you know the profile of the golf door shut seal? Did you buy precut PPF
