well what a shock , 2022 T6 .1 first MOT and it failed on Suspension pin or bush excessively worn nearside front inner and the same on the offside .
My T6.1 has only done 17,591 miles ...not been rough driven avoided all pot holes , not lowered plain bog standard .
Wearing component no warranty .
I must say i am not impressed with this and will question wether i have another one .
What other cut cost components have they fitted on the T6.1 .
My old transit had done 125 thousand on the clock with no mot fails on the suspension apart from track rod end ball joints

Sounds more like test error than a fault. I've had items fail on excessive play that turned out to be within manufacturers spec.

Was it tested at a dealer?

That can sometimes be an issue.

The dealer will be better acquainted with the model and be less likely to fail a vehicle on something that is actually a characteristic and not a fault. As aforementioned above, I had a station fail the Wife's old Peugeot 407 on excessive play in the suspension top links, but when I took it to the dealer for repair they advised there was nothing wrong with them, the movement was completely normal.

And the dealer will be better briefed on ministry bulletins that affect their own vehicles - for instance, Nissan Primeras up to chassis number 380000 are exempt from the cat test. Every station receives every bulletin, but it is simply impossible to keep abreast of them all as there are tens of thousands, but they're generally able to keep up with the ones that are for their own products.

Problem now is main dealer can't get it in till the new year ( bearing in mind it could still fail ) then a re test at the first garage as times out ...main dealer could be more expensive than my local garage . I might have to just pod out here .
By all accounts it looks like one or two have had issues in this area on low mileage .

Bearing in mind i have been using 20'' wheels on probably half of that mileage and they have worn out on the front to close limit after 9 thou miles maybe this is the cause . i stick standards on if abroad or up in remote Scotland .

I’d take it to a different mot station, or at least to a garage that knows transporters and ask them to check those components and give a second opinion before having a test done elsewhere.
Don’t forget that even if you had some mot remaining that now you have failed a test you no longer have a valid mot-despite what remains of the previous one. I hope that makes sense.

He still has a lawfully valid MOT. That is an administrative matter.

But it's now on record thet the vehicle isn't roadworthy, supposedly.

Had 20 inch wheels on for possibly 10 to 11 thousand miles . Stopped using them as the front tyres were only just legal after that mileage possibly less . also the steering was not as precise and braking not as keen .
Also the idea of having to swap wheels around if a puncture happened on the front ,not every tyre fitting places have that size tyre in stock in certain places .
My fault for not looking into all this before purchase , just fell in love with them Calibre Altus spoked in silver .

maybe they have been the cause ....going to have a chat with the guy at the testing station as to how bad they were .
have used this garage loads of times and have a pretty good reputation .

VW main agents recorded on the first service that it had 20 inch wheels on ...so they could say that was the cause as to not settle up on warranty . should have put the standards on when it went for service .
Oh well you live and learn .

Doesn't this only apply if the failure makes the vehicle dangerous to drive?

Be very careful driving a vehicle with an MOT failure as your insurance could become questionable. Similarly the police can check MOT status via ANPR. I know for a fact that my insurance provider previously checked my MOT with VOSA to verify the annual mileage that I declared !!
