Risky business I'd say. Or more of a roulette unless you're absolutely sure it was primed fully. Air can mess up the diesel injection system pretty badly. Cost of repairs is above anything reasonable.
Happy it went well for you but for anyone reading this thread - I don't recommend anything but the software or at least physical refill (with NEW diesel).

Had no idea there was significant risk of damage.

I am absolutely NOT sure it was primed of diesel. In fact, I’m very sure it wasn’t. So… count myself lucky I guess.

I changed my filter recently. As above vcds wouldn't prime but obdeleven did. Weird as vcds worked fine priming my t5.1.

VCDS did not run fuel lift pump at all? Any error messages?

Curious which VCDS interface cable as there are some known capability deficiencies in the older cables on newer ECM?

I think the error is not due to VCDS. I prefer not to elaborate.
In any case, ODIS did the job flawlessly and I was happy to finally start learning how to use it with my genuine dongle It's definitely an effort comparing to VCDS...

Thanks Lee. Looks pretty straightforward, and I know I’ll need to prime the system after, but it’s good to see a guide if possible!

Is there a knack to fuel filter connectors? Mine has two rubber connectors on top, I assume they are just push connectors but they won't budge.
I don't want to just force them out so would appreciate any tips.
