Fuel temp sensor issues and advice

Second newbie q of the day.

Constant flashing coil light.
Codes read and shows fuel temp sensor.
Reset at a garage but comes back on.
FTS changed still on.
Bought a Carista.
Cleared codes P0183 for FTS and now have a code 15898 which shows FTS loom.
Neither will clear.
Had this loom looked at and it doesn’t look frayed or damaged.

Do I just buy a new loom or could it be something else?

Would a software update help this also?
