[Guide] How To Retrofit MFSW And Cruise Control To T6 Eu6 2019 Startline - Also Hacking DSG Paddles For CCS

That would mean pulling the cluster :) So no not yet, I may see what info I can pull from obd11 on the cluster to identify the version.

I have gone quiet as I have been posting on ausitt forum and fitting a new stereo, usb ports and wiring in reversing cam and other bits in the audi as the RSNE failed

Happy to report cruise is still working all good though

This has been a gripping read gents! Just to set the scene I have a Trendline, 2019 EURO 6 with no MFSW but standard cruise control on the stalk which I'm happy with (I don't need to CC on the wheel (just after volume\radio scanning etc). Am I right in thinking if I choose to go with a Polo\Golf GTI\R wheel (with airbag) and swap it out for the below buttons, I can skip sections 4 and 5 in the original instructions and then just splice a wire into the light switch and BCM pin 36 then code the below?
BCM 09:
Set Byte 09, Bit 3 Tells BCM a MFSW is installed
Set Byte 29, Bit 6 Tells the BCM to use pin 36 on T73b for MFSW LIN Bus

A few observations on your post:

- You should not need the 12v on the light switch, as the basic mfsw switches still light up and function without it (as long as they are wired to the BCM and coded)
- The 12v GRA or CCS signal needs power if it was not there as standard and so thats where this 12v feed comes in.
- Golf, polo wheels etc should fit, but your standard airbag won’t, it is the two prong fitting not a single prong like those others, so as you mention you must source a wheel with the correct airbag if going for one of them.
-You need T6 specific buttons with red illumination, part no’s are in the thread.
- You will probably need a MFW clock spring loom
- If buying a standard leather non MFW, you will need the facia / surround for the buttons as well.

Ref pin 36, if you have ccs already, I don’t think you need to move to pin 36, you use existing ccs lin bus wire / connection so may want to recheck or wait until someone more experienced comments as its been a while since I checked what wiring is needed for basic mfsw to bcm.

For fitting and wiring in of the wheel, I would recomend Chris @Dav-Tec, he’s about a 6hr round trip but will fit, wire and code for a decent price, he’s done a lot of these now.

Hi mates,
Thank you for this tutorial.

I’ve completed everything for an euro6 without ccs and Mfsw.

All buttons work.

Radio ok, It also upgraded my dashboard.

Ccs doesn’t work. I can’t code the ECU, I get an error 31.

Does this already happened to one of you’ll?

Ok so bought a 129€ :( Obdeleven pro dongle on Amazon.
Plugged it, created account, coded the ecu, and all works perfectly. :D
So my van is a very standard 2016 lhd euro6 102ps kombi with no Mfsw neither ccs and basic mfd at first.

I’ve now got ccs, Mfsw working with my Rcd330 radio and also changed a bit in 17 section of vcds ( I don’t remember which one but was marked something like mfd active/installed), this gave me some new possibilities like speed limit warning, fuel autonomy, instant fuel consumption, km/h digital display and two trips and fuel consumption average.

Happy of all this, looking forward for the next retrofit to complete ;)

Hi, i would like to put cruise on my 2018 t6, how would you go about it and roughly what would be the cost please

Hi mate, if you go to page one of this guide everything you need to do it yourself is there. Alternatively me or one of the other retrofitters on here can do it for you

Hi guys, I'm getting desperate. i installed the steering wheel from vw UP gti (same as golf gti etc) to the left i only have volume control buttons. I used Kuffatec wires. pin 9 and 10 to bcm pin 36 and powered according to their instructions( black-blue wire) Everything works only starstop error, cruise control and vcds error U0146. My van had the original cruise control and I wanted to keep it. please, give me an advice. Thank you

Just double checking -

Also volume up/down buttons do work?

To the white BCM connector? Was the pin occupied before?
So solved. Cruise control on a pillar. Mfsw only with volume control. euro6 not on pin 36 but on 17. Coding byte 29 bit 6 on 0

Well, what an experience this has been!

Great info from this thread made this easy to follow.

I have volume/skip buttons etc working on wheel, horn also a works however I can’t seem to code in for cruise control in the engine module, I keep facing an error code that is ‘coding rejected, error 22 conditions not correct or sequence error.

I believe I have the correct cable (hex - v2) on VCDS latest version 22.3.1

I have attached a VCDS scan report which states a low voltage fault? Could this be the issue? And if so can the fault location be narrowed down via the report?

So close now! any help is greatly appreciated

Did you buy the kufatec kit in the end?

You have brake assist by the looks of it, have you coded the brake module so its aware you now how cruise control? Have you checked all your wiring connections and coding

I haven’t coded any brake module no. I do have radar sensor on the van, do you know how I would go about this?

My wiring all appears okay, maybe I need to take all apart and investigate if the brake module coding doesn’t work?

Coding I have completed everything instructed on the first pages of this thread
