[Guide] How To Retrofit MFSW And Cruise Control To T6 Eu6 2019 Startline - Also Hacking DSG Paddles For CCS

Hi guys, I have been able to end the installation of a MFSW with CCS on my Multivan.
Here under I share some details to help other.
Car: VW Multivan 2018 150Hp TSI
BCM (module 09): PQ25 Max4 H82 0752 (part code: 7E0 937 090 C)
ECU (module 01): 06J 906 021 AC

Here under I share some details to may help other.

Situation
Car: VW Multivan 2018 150Hp TSI
BCM: PQ25 Max4 H82 0752 (part code: 7E0 937 090 C)
ECU: 06J 906 021 AC

Coding:

ECU 01:
Set Byte 05, Bit 5 Tells the ECU CCS is fitted

For my van configuration results in:

Long-coding pre-installation: 01 19 00 13 43 04 01 08 00 00
Long-coding post-installation: 01 19 00 13 43 24 01 08 00 00

HEX to BINARY for each byte
04 - 00000100
24 - 00100100

BCM 09:
Set Byte 09, Bit 3 Tells BCM a MFSW is installed
Set Byte 15, Bit 0 Only for a wireless that can use push to talk for mobile phones
Set Byte 17, Bit 2
Set Byte 17, Bit 7 Tells BCM CCS is installed
Set Byte 29, Bit 6 Tells the BCM to use pin 36 on T73b for MFSW LIN Bus

For my van configuration results in:

Long-coding pre-installation: 62 A8 39 3A 0A 21 20 12 01 20 0F 74 2C EB 8E D4 0F 40 71 0F 60 44 6D 60 33 04 00 23 08 00
Long-coding post-installation: 62 A8 39 3A 0A 21 20 12 01 28 0F 74 2C EB 8E D5 0F C4 71 0F 60 44 6D 60 33 04 00 23 08 40

HEX to BINARY for each byte
20 - 00100000
28 - 00101000

D4 - 11010100
D5 - 11010101

40 - 01000000
C4 - 11000100

00 - 00000000
40 - 01000000

So you can see HEX values and BINARY sequence as well and adapt to every kind of configuration you may have.

The coding has been carried on with a VAS-6051E.
BEWARE: for my personal experience firstly coding the ECU and secondly the BCM otherwise you can experience some issues.

Wiring:
T41/9 to FUSE32 (I use a pigtail to make the connection)
T41/10 to BCM grey connector T36b/36
T41/11 to T94/45 (94 PIN connector under the battery, ECU area)

Everything is working perfectly !!

Hi people, sorry you my English. I read the whole thread. Beautiful work. ;)

I want to ask if you can install the MFSW steering wheel with the cruise control buttons in my car. VW T5.1 2011 dsg Euro5, BCM HW 7H0937087, SW7H0937087F, steering wheel 5ta419091 AE E74.
Thanks for the anwers.

My apologies for bringing up old thread. I purchased a T6 highline wheel to go with my trendline with CC on the stalks. Will I still need 3x repair wires as all the kits I find only provide 2

I’m not looking to modify paddle (wheel doesn’t have any) and I’m happy to leave stalls on without changing them

I have got the harness in my basket but want to make sure

Kind regards

For a mfsw only you need 2 wires 3 is needed if your adding cruise on the wheel

Many thanks pal. I already have CC on the stalk but the steering wheel arriving tomorrow has it so hoping to use instead of stalks.

I’ll have to buy two packs then so that I can get the third wire

Anyone selling a pack of three by any chance? 1668438922384.png

No need to order if you already have cruise just fit and re pin.

Move one of the black/yellow wires from pin 26 (or 29, as they are connected) to pin 11. This is the cruise signal.

Move the black/blue or black/grey
wire from pin 28 to pin 9. This supplies +12v.

Move blue wire from pin 31 to pin 10. The other end, in the white T73b connector of BCM will need moving from pin 46 to the pin 36.
Remove the black and yellow CCS wire from pin 45 on the BCM connector T73b.

Then check coding.
ECU 01:

You are a star!

This the wheel turning up. So am I correct in reading that I don’t need to order the repair wires or I do but just two of them?

No wires needed IF you have existing cruise control stalks. But if your insistent in leaving the original stalks in play make sure you disconnect the appropriate wiring so they no longer work

That’s handy! No repair wires! Got it

So the only thing I need to buy is the harness and make sure it fits the highline steering wheel. I see the guide referenced one used for the polo which I had in basket but I guess I’ll need to make sure I get a harness that works with this one instead of a polo wheel as I’m guessing my standard rubber wheel with no controls has a different harness to what’s needed

I’m so sorry for all the questions and perhaps I should call

So today I ordered the harness that was mentioned in this guide “6RD971584D”

They refunded 3 hours later and said they can’t find this part anymore

Does anyone know the code of a another harness that will work with this?

I can see some model 6RD971584C but don’t know if enough wires to support MFSW with CCS

Anyone know a way I can progress?

Kind regards

I can get you a new harness but direct from VW it won't be cheap

I think this harness will do it looks like the one I used … . eBay have these
