[Guide] How To Retrofit MFSW And Cruise Control To T6 Eu6 2019 Startline - Also Hacking DSG Paddles For CCS

Don’t worry if the colors don’t seem matching between the photos .I think they are … . some of the wires have primary coluur with a secondary stripe .. the stripe color may not be shown dependent on the angle the photo was taken ..

I am using and IPad Pro so can zoom in photos and see quite clearly

Cheers for your help again. I got so fixed on the part number from the guide I got mine from EU which was almost three times the cost

Tempted to cancel order now haha

There’s a good harness picture page 3 of this thread …

Good luck with the install especially getting to the BCM

Message me mate, I'll need your details and I'll get it ordered and posted should be with you Friday/saturday

Managed to get my steering wheel (polo 6c) and also got a harness coming from Davtec.

If I wired up the steering wheel and waited a couple of weeks to get coding done, is there any issues with that?

Whilst I know the steering wheel won’t work, I’m just worried if I’ll trip the airbag warning and fail my MoT on the 7th of December

If anyone knows if it’s safe to swap and wire up wheel and wait for coding that will be great

Many thanks

From memory .. Horn won’t work I don’t think … as it would now be via canbus and it’s a dumb device till it’s coded I think ..

Airbag shouldn’t be a problem as long as you disconnect battery first ..

Is it not best to install the wheel / harness and wiring to BCM etc.. and confirm it all works with coding before you put all the trims back otherwise you will need to remove all trims etc.. again and refit if any issues ..

Have a trawl through some other posts on here to confirm..

The problem is I can’t code and so pauly is helping and would be nice to be able to arrange so I just turn up and it’s ready to code. It may be a while until I can arrange this, hence putting it on and wiring without coding for a while

Horn is an mot requirement, I can do soon as it’s ready just give me a day or two warning

Got my Harness today and so set about getting airbag and wheel off and following guide.

regarding the following info below, I'm guessing part one is All on the T41 connector as i can see Part two is in regard to the T37b connector?

Part 1

Move one of the black/yellow wires from pin 26 (or 29, as they are connected) to pin 11. This is the cruise signal.

Move the black/blue or black/grey
wire from pin 28 to pin 9. This supplies +12v.

Move blue wire from pin 31 to pin 10.

Part Two

in the white T73b connector of BCM will need moving from pin 46 to the pin 36.
Remove the black and yellow CCS wire from pin 45 on the BCM connector T73b.

if so i will get to it tomorrow and finished off the wiring

many thanks again all

Ok so I fitted the wheel and done the wiring, no coding atm

Carried out instructions but I have no lights on my steering wheel

I took the black/blue or black/grey
wire from pin 28 to pin 9. This supplies +12v.

Any ideas? Do I need to get this feed from the back of light switch instead or is VCDs coding required just to get steering wheel lights also?

The paddle PCB with the two resistors that need removing, the LED can stay.

Same from above.

The wire ending at the bottom left is to bridge the damaged track under the lifted pin.

The three important connections that link to the two buttons. I tried leaving the terminal on the right hand wire but it was too big for the case so got cut off.

Hi
I have just seen your post and its exactly what I'm looking for Thanks for the in-depth explanation and pictures
Just a quick question, my van has a DSG box, can I get the paddles to work the box ???
Thanks

Paddles work automatically when fitted no paddle specific coding is required, if the wheel works the paddles will work
