Does OBDeleven support TPMS activation?
Cheers @Pauly , I did some VCDS stuff on my old A6 - video in motion, needle sweep etc, but someone gave me some simple instructions.

May have to look into getting hold of OBDeleven and asking for some assistance on here.

:thumbsup:
OBDeleven.

03-Brakes - Long Coding:

EDIT: supporting information:
---> deactivating TPMS Kombi
---> Panel van Tyre pressure monitor enable.
---> Abs Long Coding, Hill Descent Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring
---> tyre pressure monitor system
EDIT#2: Based on the links above it seems that in the ABS need to tweak bits #4 and possibly also #5 as above. However there is a reported success having the bit#5 also the other way :unsure: (e.g. E(xx10)->B(xx11))
The rest should be kept as they were in the van to avoid any undesired side effects.

17-Dash Board - Long Coding (this might be already set like this).

This post is won't be updated, moved to under better title for further elaboration ---> Abs Long Coding, Hill Descent Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring

Just wanted to say thanks to this post I am now running H7s I ordered from the forum shop.
I did the upgrade last weekend, started in the morning and was done by 12 with 10 mins help for my neighbour to lift the bumper off and back on. Unclipping the bumper was a bit of bugger!

I looked at getting a used VCDS but thought I would take a punt on OBDEleven. It turned out to be very simple, in the long coding menus there was already a setting for coding the lights (something like 'disable main beam when high been on: true'). Disabling that and updating and the lights were sorted, both stay on when high beam is on. Happy days!

Did you need the pro version of OBDEleven or just the regular one?

was ordering from H7 headlights from ebay from a part numbers (Valeo 046714 & 046715)
i got here, and a lady calls me ask me if my current H4s have single or twin reflectors, as she says sometime people order the wrong part.
is it correct? how so? i am sending her pict of my headlights

Maybe she is asking because of the coding differences (regarding dipped and high beam).

Obviously the OBDeleven hardware dongle ("OBDeleven device") is needed. Activation of the OBDeleven (named as "OBDeleven Pro Pack/Activation") is needed to be able to do any coding changes ---> App & Features

Just a note that OBDeleven a new generation dongle hardware which will be compatible with both IOS and Android will be available soon ---> #NextgenOBDeleven

Hi my left headlight bulb is out and I’d like to put better bulbs in without any conversions/coding, just straight replace bulbs, any pointers on which I can put in as a safe swap would be appreciated I’m unsure what h4 or h7 means.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

if you don't know, you probably have H4.
H7 fairly rare
usually on higher end caravelles rahter than vans, even though might only be on highline caravelle

H7 have a running daylight bar at the bottom of the light cluster
H4 have the inner reflector lit when driving during day

you will need to know which you have before we can answer;

If you can establish the headlight type, then H4 or H7 is the bulb type. There are lots of bulbs with better output that are fully road legal.

Wow, thanks, I have the h4 then, can I just choose any h4 bulb from amazon to replace the bulb?

wow thanks, now I know I have the h4 type, can I just choose any h4 bulbs from amazon to replace them or is there a specific spec I need to select? Can’t see anything in my owners manual about this...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After careful consideration of all the options open to me I decided to stick with genuine headlights I purchased a pair of t6 Caravelle headlights from tps which arrived the following day to go with them 2 pairs of philips 150% h7 bulbs the headlights look fab very impressed the chrome trim on the grill continues thru the headlight . So Saturday morning was nice and bright parked the van on the lawn in an hour all done!! Re programmed with vcds so dip remains on with main beam all done . Initial test in darkness very good the real test was North Yorkshire in the Helmsley area it’s black !!!! Well I could drive all night very good then I switched main beam on wow what a diffrence just massive from the h4 that I’d tried to improve so it’s nice to go out at night for all those with h4 candles this is a good conversion and it’s a straight fit no issues Peter

I've just ordered a set of Valeo H7 OEM headlights.

Will they come with bulbs? Even if they do, should I consider changing any of the bulbs straight away (LED DRL bulbs for instance?)

Mine came with bulbs pre installed in the unit but I replaced them all before fitting.

If you wanted to save a few quid just do dip as there what you use 99% of the time

I used Phillips racing vision. Tried a few others and found these were best price when I looked. all were pretty similar light output.
