Good to know, van is 2016. I figured if there was warning on the dash it would be a MOT fail.
That’s interesting, I have a 2014 t5.1 high line and the only bulbs that never throw up a warning are the DRLs.

Is that normal in older vehicles?

The chap I bought the van off didn’t even realise it had DRLs as the bulbs must have been blown when he got it. I replaced the bulbs and they work as expected.

Someone else posted about DRL checks only being for vehicles 2018>. Not sure what happens if there’s a bulb warning on the dash. Possible to code out, I understand. This is from DVLA website:

If it’s safer with, then I’ll keep my 2016 DRLs in good working order.

Hang on, 4th one down, "if brake pads or discs are missing."

Do people really get cars tested like this?

Just fitted some H7s with the ones bought off MrSkip. It's worth noting that the coding for keeping the dipped bulbs on while using main beam is essential and makes a massive difference. I also fitted LEDs to the DRLs so it's also worth changing the coding to turn off the relevant DRL when indicating as it really makes the front indicator stand out.

Didn’t know this was a thing.
I’ll get the vcds connected up tomorrow and sort it.

I’ve managed to get hold of some H7’s. Is there anyone in Staffordshire around the Rugeley area who has access to a VCDS that could help me with the coding to keep the dipped on with main and possibly turn off the DRL when indicating?

Thanks in advance.
